Anyone running this setup? I'm wondering about issues with it rubbing... tire sizes / pictures would be much appreciated

What size tires do you want to run?

I can help you, but I’m going to be honest, just get a good after market coil over and be happy with the 2.75 or go straight to a 4” or 6” kit.

I'm pretty flexible on the tire. I mean 35" would be ideal but I've seen some people go with 295/60/20. I should really do more research on that part. I don't have a problem with 2.75".

What coilover setup would you recommend? And why? In my many pages of reading I could've sworn I saw you using that kit (I could be wrong)

I am using the Rough country 3”-

My wife had it done with out my knowledge...

For a lvl kit I would run the Bilstien coil over lvl struts/ or the full Ebiach kit.

If I was to lift I would likely go with a Icon/Bds kit in a 6” application. The Rough country uCA”s art bad especially for the price. They allow you to run up to i would say almost 4” of lvl. When I go ebiach I will leave my Rough country uCA”s and rear spacers and likely crank the eibach s to 2.75 or 3” and call it a day. I don’t mind a little bit of rake especially with how soft the springs are and I would have too because the 3” Rough country kit I have has a 1” spacer out back. On factory 20” wheels the uCA is mighty close to the wheel, could be an issue if I tried to stuff a 12.5 35” tire on the stock 20.

So I could get a brand new RC 3"lift kit with the RC shocks in the back and then get bilsteins up front for less than $600. What's your opinion on that setup?

That’s what I’m going to go to when I get around to it.. Either bills or Eibach, Likely Eibach as I could even go up to 3” with their adjustable coil over and I can obtain that height with out the spacer.

Eibach pulled their kit from the market. Just an fyi.

Why? I *** just reading the 30 page thread on it and I was only on page 5.

One thing I didn't understand was with the eibachs... do you not need the new uca? For the price I could get that rc 3" kit I feel like it'd be worth it just for the uca's and go with eibach kit if I can source one. Maybe eibach springs with bilsteins instead if I can't

I bought my truck and it came with the Rough Country 3" level/lift kit... at least that's what they call it. The rear wheel-well is 1/4" higher than the front.

I can't speak to the pro's/con's of it compared to other methods cause this is the only non stock newer Ram I've ever driven. I love the way it looks. To me, it rides very much like stock.

It's running the stock 20" wheels with BFG KO2's in 305/55-20". It slightly rubs at full lock, but only at full lock. Normal driving I never notice it.

They were either having a supply issue or a quality control issue. Either way their springs were all over the place with overall lift heights. Some guys netted advertised, some only got like an inch out of them. Eibach went fully silent and bailed on a few guys here stuck with their sub par coils. So a definitive answer still hasn't come out, as of now they just don't have it listed so I wouldn't get your hopes up on that kit. The bilsteins aren't the worst option out there, they just need a bit of an update.

UCAS aren't totally necessary per se, but they are ideal. Brings alignment back into specs and keeps the bj angle happier. There's alot of options available for these trucks, just set a budget and stick to it. This get expensive quick. Lol

Thanks man! So do u think getting that RC 3" lift just for the uca is worth $350? Well I guess the rear shocks would be beneficial too if I get some bigger springs

No spacers on the wheels?

Did u need spacers?
Nope. I am running them purely for looks especially since I didn't wanna spend money for new rims. I had 315s on stock 17s and the spacers helped me clear the arms with that setup but on these wheels and tires I kept them solely for looks.

This is my 2018 Ram 1500 with a 4 inch Rough Country lift and 35 inch tires on stock rims. I had to add 1 inch hubcentric wheel spacers because of the wider tires. A 37 inch tire would fit, but it would be tight and possibly rub when turned lock to lock.

That looks fantastic! Anyway you could post a picture head- on to see how much those tires protrude from the side?

I've got 3.5 inch RC lift with RC shocks in back. I upgraded rims to a -12 offset and I have 35x12.5x20 Nitto's - it runs fine with no rubbing except for when cranking the wheels all the way over. IMG_5137.JPG IMG_4646.JPG
