Very interested to see the light bar install. They are next on my list. What did you go with?

I'm debating a single 30" single row bar on bumper...or a 20" single row bar, with two fog pods on either side (maybe amber for dust-vision)

Eventually will get A-pillar lights too for good side angle light

Well you're in luck. I had a second today at work to dive into that.

Westin says you can fit 1 double row or 2 single row ~30" bars. I went with 2 singles but measured to see if i could fit 2 double rows before ordering. On paper you couldnt fit 2 double rows in the space provided but i think i could have now that i see it - you'd just have to make new L brackets and not use the westin ones.

I went with 2x "32 inch curved single row light bars with amber fogs". I've explained them before, but the white parts are on a different switch than the ambers. The whites are straight lights and the ambers have fog diffuser lenses. I think the ambers will look rad with the ram's amber DRLs.

I have not wired these up yet so i just pulled the wiring through and then flipped them back around and jammed em in the front for now so i dont forget to tie them up for the drive home.

If someone made a form-fit roof rack for the quad cab (like the KC hilites one for these trucks in crew cab), that would be the ultimate side-lighting mount. I do not think id spend the money even if such a beast existed.

I am still searching for a form fitting rack similar to the MRack

Lets goooooo
Checks should be cut around 6/17. So a few weeks. I am trying to not funnel too much un necessary money into the truck. I really want a damn bumper tho. I won't be goin offroad much if at all with this thing anymore. It'll end up towing a toy at some point so I'm trying to keep it simpler. I will still explore and ****, but nothing that requires a winch or excessive anything. We just don't have the locations on the east coast for that close to me.

Home from work. Picked up a couple of thingsss

Also got the amber portions of my light bars wired into the stock fog wiring with the stock fog plugs. Nothings burning or melting. Behave the same as stock fogs as far as when you can have them on/off and the fog light dash light.

I drove 2 or 3 hours down the highway with the amber floods on and nobody flashed me too.

Im going with max height for hemi quad cab. Not gonna risk the 9th clip (max for diesel). I was thinking the weight of the bumper i might do the 9th but ill just use a little strut shim if i really need a bit more. So should be 2.8 outta the bils and another 1" gain from some 35s later. 3.8" total up front.

Yea I'd play it safe for sure, plus you'll actually have enough useable down travel to make the ride comfy. I don't think your bumper weighs enough to negate any lift height to be honest. I could be wrong but I can't imagine it effecting it like a big winch bumper might. I really don't miss the 35s tbh. Prob gonna keep the 20s and do 275 65s. Backwards I know right. Aside from true offroad airing down I don't really notice any difference in my ride. My baby diesel likes it too since this setup is light. I think those sport wheels you have blacked out look bomb. But man are they $$ even used.

How do those lights work in crappy weather, or have you not had any yet. That's my big thing, all bright fogs I've used make bad weather worse at night and I drive so much in all conditions I'd like them to benefit me at least a little.

Drove through some thick smoke with them, from the forest fires. Nothing thick enough to judge what a blizzard or fog will be like, yet.

Awesome job on the truck and parts. Are you going to run stock rear springs with the Icon 2.0s? If so, are you concerned at all with the springs coming out due to the extra travel in the shocks? I don't know what the extended length of Icon 2.0s are, but they likely go well past stock shocks as they advertise as working with up to a 3" lift, right? In my multiple years long search (and saving $$) for suspension parts, this is something that I've wondering when trying to decide if I can piece things together.

I have the eibach pro lift springs for the rear. They advertise 1" lift and people are reporting more like 1.5".

So I finally installed all my stockpiled goodies for the "Level *Plus*"

The whole operation took 2 days, and each day was broken up when it went from +25 (celcius) to thunder, hail and extreme rain and then back again. I haven't got a garage right now so it all went down in the street. The roommate helped a but which was nice, but it was largely a 1 man operation.

This was day 1 doing the rear end ^

Eibach Pro Lift coils for 1" advertised or 1.5" reported lift in the back. I have not taken measurements after yet. I was able to jack the frame up on maxed out jackstands sitting on top of 4" thick lumber and droop the rear axle enough with just the sway bars disconnected and brake like hangers undone to pull the stock coils. I put the spring compressors on the new coils to get them back in so i didnt have to drop the axle too extreme, worried about bushings in the control arms tearing or something.

The Icon 2.0 shocks went in mostly smoothly. They dont come with bands holding them compressed but it wasnt very hard at all to lean on them to compress them then get em in there and use a prybar to jimmy the bottom eyelet around til i got a bolt through. I did have to grind some material off the upper shock mounts - about 1/4" on one side and just a pinch on the other side. They seem to be super inconsistent and i could see the jaggy edge where the sheet metal would have been stamped out before getting pressed into the cup shape.

End of day 1. Rear end up ^

Here is one of the hail/rain coffee breaks from day 1 lol ^

Day 2, I did the front end. I went in very confident based on how easy the rear went together. The front didnt end up being ridiculously difficult but I didn't find it to be a piece of cake either. Plenty of knuckle busting and curse words.

Before my suspension goodies even got started i finally totalled one of these stupid lug nuts. Somehow the outside case just spun on the inside nut, despite using a properly sized socket. Out came the grinder... got a smaller socket onto the inside nut after i peeled the **** off it.

Couple of side by sides of old vs new

Before and after. Tied the knuckle back to the strut tower with zipties to keep it from flopping out and putting pressure on the brake lines/CV joints.

And here she is all buttoned up. In the rain again. I can physically see that i have an outrageously positive camber on the front now. Its going for an alignment today.
