This was my first attempt and I thought the same thing. I asked myself the ones on YouTube have like a 4” layer. Then I found the adjustment knobs and soap to water ratio and have been loving it ever since. I have an excell 2800 2.6gpm gas powered

Tested on the wife’s car first

For those with hard water and spotting issues, get some Formula 4 by Superior Products. I use it with my hard water to wash my black trucks in direct blazing Florida sun and no water spots at all!

There's a YouTube vid a few posts into this thread that will show you how to use it.

Unfortunately no it seems what I bought last year isn’t available anymore(especially at the price I paid)

I think what your need, but you would have to verify with your pressure washer is a 3/8” male quick connect on the bottom/input, then a 1/4” female quick connect on the output no matter which brand it is.

I will say mine started to leak, I first tightened it and it only helped a little then after sitting for a while it clogged my foam cannon with a broken piece of the o-ring. I recently took it apart and used plumbers thread tape and now the leak is gone. What I’m saying is what I bought for $13 dollars wasn’t perfect....I got what I paid for and made it work/fixed it’s short comings.

So the general consensus that I’m seeing is to start with a good ratio of soap to water. What do those of you recommend that got them to work properly?

I’m probably right around 2 ounces of soap but no less

I'm right at 3oz I scribed a line on the canister so I fill to the same spot every time. I mainly use mr. pink only because it seems to be on some ridiculous 1/2 off sale any time i'm looking to buy more. So I have yet to use an actual foam soap

What is the best soap for the foam cannon? I’m thinking about getting one but I’m not sure which soap I should use.
@JB1 I wanna be ready for showing off my truck at LSMF this year and a few other small shows. I got depressed about the rain last year and just didn’t enter the show. But on the other hand the bbq was good.

the thing I'm looking for in a soap is ph neutral balance and no additives for shine. My vehicles are ceramic coated so i don't want or need any of that.

Maybe @AdamsPolishes could chime in here because I have heard nothing but great things about their car shampoo (Blue) Id be curious what the difference is in the ultra foam (Purple) More lubrication? Ive been on the fence about which one to get

don't know how much you will see with a before and after. My car is ceramic coated and isn't that dirty lol. I'm curious on how well it foams and how well it prevents water spots in the sun. I can definitely get a picture of how the foam looks on the car though.

So this is my foam cannon today. I can say this the knob on the top definitely makes a difference but I still didn’t get the foam I was expecting. I had it all the way to the soap side when I got this. I just feel like it should be “thicker”.

Move it all the way to the opposite side and see what it does. Also how much soap did you use?

Put about half soap and half distilled water in the bottle not all soap, then give it a try.
