A little walk through of how to program FOBIKs

First turn you truck on to accessory.(I always do this to connect to the RF Hub)

Select Radio frequency hub(RFH)
In the drop down select Radio frequency hub(this is the only option to select here)

Connect to the RF Hub

Once you’re connected. Locate the Car with the hood up on the bottom right hand corner. Click on it

Click on the drop down menu. Almost all the way at the bottom select - Program Ignition FOBIKs Baseline system

At this point turn your key to the Lock Position(turn the truck off) and remove the key from the ignition

Place the FOBIK(Key) you’re wanting to program in the ignition and leave it in the off position

Enter you 4 digit pin provided by your local dealership

Click Start. Your screen should look something like this!

Once the process is complete you will see Procesure complete in blue. Please note the above dialogue box will say “FOBIK successfully paired” I think lol

If a key is already Paired to your truck. You will get the Failure error. “Failure FOBIK already learned”

Now start you truck up to make sure it was successfully paired!

Followed this procedure with dealer generated key. No bueno. I have one good key, and a new blank. Any suggestions, y'all?

It’s pretty rare that you see guys using HIDs for high beams, just because of the warmup time would make the flash to pass feature useless, and most only use them for minutes at a time.

I run HID on my ram from headlight revolution and they do not have a warm up.

HUGE difference. Went with the HID in projector headlamps instead of the LED because of light pattern output. Headlights, fog lamps and high beams. Photo is headlights and fog lamps only. Never mind on the photos. Won’t let me show because “advertising”...

So I tried to search... this thread has become mammoth lol...

For swapping standard tailights over to LED tails - do we still need a harness or can AlfaODB change settings negating the need for an adapter? Or do we still need it for making the connections?

https://shop.retroshop.us/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=13.TL.Adapt

I recall reading something about using Alfa to change light settings to LED or HID, etc, but didn't pay close attention as I wasn't planning on any changes. Now trying to search for it is painful lol.

if you are going to switch to oem led's you'll still need the adapter just not the resistors. Aftermarket will be more plug and play.

You'll still need alphaobd to change the tail lights settings to led's

Yep. Went and got it from my reluctant dealer
Failed. Security Access Denied.

For key programming problems please state (at a minimum) type of key, version/platform of Alfa and type of OBD dongle. There were versions of Alfa that broke key programming but one would expect them to be purged by now. Or the glitch may have be reintroduced.
Hopefully you get this figured out!

4e..., current versions:Android 2.1.6.8, Windows 2.0.8.0
If you are using this on a 2014 as listed in your sig then no bypass cable is required.
Also tip key uses low line (or something like that) programming.

do you autocross your EcoD?
