the friend or the paint specks??? I've used Goo Gone or Mineral Spirits to remove tar before on my truck with no damage to my trucks paint.

If it's an exterior acrylic, use acetone/ nail polish remover on cloth. Then wash immediately.

^^^^ this exactly ^^^
After the wash remember it needs to be waxed/polished.
You may also try just washing it with Dawn dish soap then polish it really good.

I love my truck!

I've used aircraft remover before, just don't let it sit too long a few seconds will usually do. Also don't let it touch your skin.

I’d start with a clay bar then move to stronger and stronger chemicals. Wash with a neutralize soap like dawn dish soap if you do use chemicals then wash and wax
I agree, clay bar can do some good. Plus your paint will be nice and smooth.
Perfect for a new coat of wax.

Goo gone specifically says not to use on paint though. Clay bar is cool, but there's a new kid in town... Mothers synthetic clay bar! https://www.amazon.com/Mothers-1724...ires+clay+bar&qid=1559268202&s=gateway&sr=8-5

Used it on two vehicles so far, worked great. More idiot proof since it has a bit of memory foam on there to distribute the load so not hot spotting and no constant folding since you just give it a quick swish in some clean soapy water. I didn't use lubricant either, just wash the car as normal, rinse off, and then use the soap gun again to soap the vehicle one panel at a time top to bottom using the synthetic claybar back and forth (no circles) medium pressure swishing frequently in your soapy bucket.

I was able to remove quite a bit of overspray with a clay bar as well. Keep the surface lubricated and re-knead the bar as necessary. Works really well.
