what the heck is this?

i was doing the ram 1500 rear seat mod and found this laying on the floor. when i google the number (2271261) the only reasonable result i get is a guy on reddit asking what it is when he found it in the same place. no responses. tried it as a mopar pn with no luck. I found it far back against the back wall on the floor, driver's side. if i had been looking i could have found it without removing the seat...

i should add that at first i thought it was metal (kinda dense and heavy) but it is absolutely plastic.

the one end looks like its a hook that goes into a slot then a wire or cable snaps in between the 2 legs.

Pull the guard off the rear wall, there are some plastic parts back there, chances are it detached from somewhere on that wall.

Looks like what I use to hang Christmas lights on my gutters.

Most likely it’s clip for harness that goes behind theca wall interior panel.

I found the same thing in my truck, backseat driverside folded up and cleaning some stored things from that little space.

In Mopar parts speak that thing is a ......"what-cha-ma-call-it". It is used to hold the different "thing-a-ma-bobs" found in and around the under seat area. It replaced the ..."do-flicky" that had been used in the 1970's muscle car era.

My uneducated guess is that it’s “packaging” for some part when assembling one part of the truck. It’s probably used to separate all of the same pieces at a particular station in the assembly line. Just so happened that it made it into the truck.
Just like when you buy your kid a new toy and it has all that plastic retainer crap under the cardboard packaging.

maybe something to do with the back electric motor for the window. for shipping purposes so the back window does not open by accident and flood out the truck
