I'm new to the group and this is my first post on here. I just bought a 1986 W150 Friday. On the way home the wipers stopped working. I checked it this morning and the transmission linkage bushing split. So I replaced all four of them and put everything back together and nothing... I did clean the ground strap on the wiper motor mount, with no luck... I replace the motor next and no luck..... The radio will dim when the switch is turned on. So I know that there is a power draw when I turn the wiper switch on with no luck. Any help will be appreciated.

I wonder if the switch is going out or if you have a short somewhere? I know 1st gen's had wireing harness corrosion built up over time. Location is on the driver's side over the wheel well under the hood. Also the fuse box may be having issues. You should not have your radio dim when they cycle. Good luck brother.
