Yep it sure does. That’s why I’m patiently watching for results on the 8 speed trans swap harness

Haha put your money into hp and you don't need all those gears.... launch in 2nd, shift when the engine reaches full song, let up going through the trap..

Thanks man. I'm hoping to see high 7's in the 1/8. I dont care if its a 7.999. Lol Between borrowing Matt Brown's fronts & my rears its a total of 96 lbs of unsprung weight dropped from my normal 22" rim/tires. It ran an 8.005 last winter w/ the same track prep done in about the same weather on the 22's. We will see.

Thats about the only good thing about living in south Louisiana. The tracks only close from mid December to mid January & we see negative da(0 through -1500) pretty much from mid November til early March. Other than that I'm not too keen on living down here. Lol

I seem to do better with humidity than I do cold. Actually I don't have a lot to complain about. Good luck with your runs...

What the hell happened to this thread??? I was getting so pumped up and anxious for results and then boom nothing!

I've been out of the loop on my 2015 Ram Express RCSB. Decided to keep it finally and have been steadily modding it the last few weeks. @Gary's Hemi was practically what I'm doing.

We need to get more drag racing going on. Hopefully this thread gets revived.

Last Friday had planned to tnt and the track rained out. Saturday did a short test pass on the street and the trans lost pressure. So been trying but haven't had the stars align. Last tnt I blew the charge pipe off and didn't make a full pass. But did get data on a20190329_130031.jpg 60'...

Yeah I basically disappeared from the forums when I got fed up with trying to lower the truck. Stayed stock until about two weeks ago. I've lurked the Greene Racing page and stayed up to date there on Facebook.

I did his 91oct and trans tune and bought a Vararam from Moe's, it's been awesome. The T2 has me clocking a 13.40-13.48 at 101mph consistently, but with a 2.18-2.2 60ft. No LSD is hurting me.

I've emailed Moe's and also Core4x4 for some suspension related questions but still haven't heard anything. Anyone have a price on a Core panhard bar? All I see is their control arm prices. Hoping to put an order in tomorrow for the LSD, control arms, panhard and maybe relocation brackets. I ended up ordering a Belltech 2/4 kit through a buddy. I'm still confused on the need for the brackets. The few that I have talked to on the Facebook pages mentioned they don't run the brackets at all with no issues. But did do the Core4x4 control arms. I don't care to drop the truck lower than what the kit will do. Only did it so it wouldn't look funny with a drag pack lol

Goal is to have the suspension and LSD knocked out so I can hit Famoso and get some real times this month.

Hopefully I can revive this thread and get a few others to hop on too.

Luis

Is it me or should you have started with a locker and 4.10s before your other mods? Seems like that's the conventional racing wisdom...otherwise, nice ETs for truck weighing almost 5,000 pounds! I miss my RCSB so much when I'm on this thread...

I used to love going to the drag strip but everybody quit moving to Florida and started moving to Charleston instead and now my drag strip is buried under a subdivision. I still enjoy reading about it though so keep those stories going.

That's kind of sad

Yeah but I literally decided to keep the truck 2 weeks ago. I've been trying to push myself to get a power wagon for the last 3 years haha

4.10s are way too much gear for 8spd trucks and running a shorter drag radial. The popular gear for drag racing seems to be 3.55, but compared to a 3.21 it doesn't seem like a worthwhile difference for the additional cost. I'm planning to eventually toss a Magnuson blower on it. My guess is all that low end torque and short gearing will be a handful if I step to 3.55-3.92.

I remember a nitrous guy from when I was always on the forums. Mentioned that the 3.92 gear change was awesome off the bottle, but on the bottle was slower from a roll vs his buddy with a mustang. But prior to the gear change he was on a 3.21 and would consistently pull the same mustang. Can't remember if he was on a short drag radial or not.

Hopefully I get my order in today. I made some adjustments to my cart to include the relocation brackets. Here is what I'm looking at, hopefully a few other RCSB drag guys will chime in.
- Mopar LSD
- Inez relocation brackets, no cut
- Core 4x4 adjustable lowers
- Viking double adjustable, rears

Trying to be as budgeted as possible but solve a majority of the rear end issues all at once.
