It’s a stupid design if you ask me. Most of not ALL people use some sort of mat. And if using floor liners of some sort it’s a PIA to get to them. I don’t use mine and probably never will.

The fact that a lot of people don’t know about them is a good indication if their uselessness.

I'll argue the counter point on this one, I like that they are under the mats and hidden from plain view. Just my personal preference, don't find it to big of an inconvenience to lift the mat up to open it up.

Generally mine are not used, but they are nice to have in a pinch.

I usually take an ice chest with me to the grocery store (because it is far away and we usually stop other places too). One time I forgot my ice chest, so I had the grocery store pack my salmon, scallops, and meat in ice then I put them in my in floor storage bins. It was pretty handy and worked out perfectly. Best of all, everything stayed cold and no melted ice was in my truck.

One has extra ratchet straps and the other has baby wipes and soap. I agree the floor mat makes it a pain. Only stuff I hardly use in them

I put all the straps, hitches gloves etc all in the back in a tote. Saves clutter out of my interior[emoji6]. Things I have are my manual and lock key in my glove box. Knife and sunglasses in arm rest storage. First aid kit under the seats and that’s it! Yes. I’m OCD lol

Haha yep fair enough, I've just been using the stock longhorn mats that came with it and they are pretty easy to deal with.

i just have cheap rubber indiivdual mats I got on sale for 19 for a set of 4:) If i was going to get expensive fitted mats, they'd just be for the front anyway. Maybe twice a year someone sits in my back seat.

The weather tech rear fitted mats SUCK! My kids sit back there and those mats love as much as the carpet ones. Ram needs hook like the front the back

I'm going to go a hybrid for winter of weather tech up front and the stock ones I'll leave in the back (but remove the fancy carpet part). Kept the weather techs from my trade in so might as well use those in the higher traffic area's I figure.

Most of the time when I buy a truck I’ve done my research and know more about the truck than the salesman
When I test drove my wife’s truck. I turned the rear cannon while we were driving he looked at me “how’d you do that” it’s magic I replied and to tell you it’s 1k of the price hahahahahahaha. Wife blurred out my secret :disgust:

Camera not “cannon” although that’d be a sweet ass feature.

random thought. i back to the post about my boss saying his Outdoorsman has draining underseat bins. I looked at mine. no holes, solid plastic under.

BUT..it did occur to me that maybe being an OUTDOORSMAN version that he has, it has bins that will drain. there would be some logic to that. I tried to find options online for the Outdoorsman but nothing beyond 2nd floor underseat bins shows up. ah well. the mystery continues. and i'm not going to ask him if i can see his bins. lol

Hell I’d ask to see the drains. Don’t be a scaredy cat.

I can check mine tomorrow if I remember. Mine is an Outdoorsman. At least it says that on the tailgate.
