If you look close ( or not so close) the box sides have slots that can accept a 2x4, 2x6, 2x8 board cut to the correct length that can section off the front portion of the box for small items. This section is deep enough for a 20lbs propane cylinder to sit between the board and tailgate. I also use ratchet straps to secure the tank in a left/right sense. Spend what you like for lumber of choice and detail it as you like. I added hand holds this time out. .

It may seem like nothing much to you, but it is nothing short of flippin' ingenious to me!

I think I found my new weekend project!

I have a net gate that I got for Christmas. I moved it back about a foot for storage. I also put the fishing pole holders on the side, and ran bed lights. I bought the lights and runners for my boat, but she is sick right now.... so I put them in the truck bed. Ran a power wire from the battery, with an inline fuse and switch. So you can see your cargo with the bed cover down.67bc2f379c98f4b8f250357d469e8fa0.jpg12d22b995c1e009b372194edcd1f1dcb.jpg77cdb22ee89cbb91f711917a62bfa1a7.jpgfc35b386f94ad083aab013f593f26e5a.jpg3aabd272592b1b4458f4c1b7f68b46a6.jpg

I use a ratcheting cargo bar and three collapsible totes in the back by the tailgate.

They are rod holders that I got from either academy or bass pro. I was going to put them in my boat. But I'm so tired of my poles getting broken in my truck so I put them there. I will take better photos of them today or tomorrow for yall

That's one thing that I hate about my truck, is the 5'7" bed. I miss my old dodge 6.5' bed. So all of the poles that fit have to split. So I cant carry my good rods with me in the short bed without laying them cross way. But I keep 7 small rod and reels with me always and a tackle box is locked in my toolbox.

Update.... I rewired with 12 gauge to my bed with two switches for lights and power to the outlets. Mounted quick fist, and painted my shovel and axe to match. Also got new boxes for Christmas lol.... and that other box is my chuck box with stove, griddle, plates, spices and utensils.41b8ba8f822e0829bbbd08c734f55173.jpgefb911c8a40c176d6c262e3726208932.jpgaf7038dfb040b24911f07b37c8f2e64e.jpgcc6043f2d9bcf4ed7ec79a8f42203b14.jpgae283c683007e174bf2dc75240545d60.jpg
