Does anyone know the kelvin rating of the headlights? I know the drl’s are 5000k but the lights look more blue/purpleish. Guessing around 6000k? Wanna match fog light bulbs and don’t wanna buy the morimoto fogs

Interesting enough I remember them being listed with a 5500k rating and out put numbers. Since then it appears both have been removed. Mine started off white then started to blue over time. I have since then have had them replaced for other issues. I would not be happy with the blue light since they are illegal in most states

Getting a replacement for that one with the wire hanging down expressed shipped. Weird it just shook down over time

This is for anyone who has received a replacement headlight under warranty. TRS has sent me a drivers-side only replacement for the loose projector issue. The new one arrived and oddly, it was packaged differently than the first pair (ordered early September, was not part of the first release).

I cannot tell if my eyes are playing tricks on me at this point, but the DRL light output seems to be a different hue compared to the passenger side and they do not match. The new replacement is slightly brighter, purer white compared to the original right side.

Long story short, anyone experience this? I will see if the difference gets picked up on camera but I doubt it.

I just got a replacement due to a wire hanging and my drl’s are the same but the low beam is a different hue than the drivers. Not sure if they’re using super cheap bulbs or what because led lights are usually very consistent in the colour.

Strange! I'll definitely look more closely at the output colors. I haven't noticed that being off or different.

I noticed mine turning a blue over time then getting them replaced for a different reason and being the crisp white I remember. So this could be the same for you. Also was not my imagination people I carpooled with noticed this as well

Who here is loving their XB headlights?
I am considering getting them, but this is turning into an “XB Problems” thread.
I need more pics and stories of happy customers.

The lights are complete trash. Waiting on my second warranty replacement.

Then I guess I’m ripping my stocks apart for looks.

So, in reality you didn’t need stories of happy customers, you’ve already made up your mind lol.

Come to think of it, every thread you’re trying to downplay the problems these lights have had. Sounds like you either A. Have skin in the game or B. Are trying to feel better about an expensive purchase.

As I said in the other thread to you: I get it, spending this much on a product with this many problems sucks but it’s our reality.

This is the reality of it. I really dig the the way the way the DRLS were designed and the aggressive and unique appearance they give for the trucks.

However, I'm kinda "meh" on the turn signal - I wish it was more pronounced like on the OEM boards.

Having ran a set of retrofits with solid projectors and light output, the output of the Morimoto LEDs is dismal, but that's expected when compared to a true HID and quality set up.

I am going to give it a little bit more time as I am awaiting the RIGHT side replacement now to see if that changes anything. I want to "love" these lights for not only the aesthetics but equally for the functionality of them too.

That’s fair. The tag would be justified if they were reliable and had the performance of an OEM 19’ ram LED setup.
But yeah, buying something that looks good when off doesn’t justify the tag for me.
I want to love them too, enough to buy them, but for now I still can’t.
Also, I’m too invested in HID’s for my projectors. I have my replacement GTR Stuff and a new DDM plus set all in the mail as we speak! At least I know I’m not going to be driving blind.

I give credit to TRS, from starting out as a small company and amassing the growth that they've experienced the last few years. We as consumers have contributed to that growth (a long with all the other enthusiasts in the Ford and Toyota game). I consider these versions of the headlights Generation 1, and they'll modify, improve and so forth. Shoot, it hasn't been that long since bi-LED projectors have been around. The first rendition of anything is never a home run and I have no doubt they'll be improved in time to come.

I just hope the warranty replacements are the later generations [emoji1787]
