when driving my truck it runs and drives fine.. but when your getting on it while towing, or getting up to highway speed the rpms will just keep climbing and will redline until you let off the gas some then it will shift into the next gear, ive heard talks about shift linkage or some kind of solenoid kit to fix the shift issue?

its a 97 5.9l 360 4wd only non stock thing is slightly bigger tires. 265/75/16 vs i believe 245/75/16. any ideas?

It's an adjustment where the throttle cable attaches to the throttle body. Search for TV cable adjustment. Pretty easy to do but takes time to adjust and then drive, adjust again and drive...

I just checked the TV cable slack and there isn't really any slack in it. It comes up with a engine code 740 or 750 idr which one right now. I think 740
