Had no issues with the Goodyear wranglers on the 2017 sport. Just replaced them after 67,000 miles. Went with the 80,000 Mike Bridgestone alenza to see any difference. They're s little softer, but not too bad. Time will tell.

Nothing new here, mentioned in other posts but my 2 cents:

Truly sorry to hear of the problems you're having...been there. Those shakes are infuriating. My '16 Ram got the shakes from bad SRAs at 12k miles...even had one rear tire blister and come just short of blowing out. GY dealer shop replaced under warranty and told me the tires provided to manufacturing lines can be far less in QC...it's a deal made with the manufacturer on what QC and performance specs are to be delivered per year...and is usually driven by costs. (Think back to the Ford Explorer/Firestone fiasco in the 90s on how lowering specs can literally blow up in your face.)
My '18 4x4 is getting first hint of one of the SRAs shaking now at 19k. I already had assumed Michelins (I swear by them) will be coming onboard when I bought.

Again, the shake is infuriating, no doubt. But IMO, you have a bad dealer service group making a simple tire or alignment issue 10x worse. 95% dealer service ops are volume based/bottom line $$ operations, just gotta know that is their priority versus return business via good service. (Gotta catch the ones that are on a cycle for top service rating, rare but they exist. The service Manager's comment of he can't make money on the issue is ridiculous! Who cares if he is making money if/when his shop has screwed up a job? His job is to see it through to be done right!)

Give a quality service group a chance to make it right or make that walk onward to get happier. Good luck on the journey resolving either way.

I have heard a lot of hating on the Goodyear SR-A's but for a factory tire built to a price point I will say they are OK. I have 35K miles on mine with well over 1/2 the tread left, figure I'll get about 50K out of them before I swap. I just can't bring myself to swap out serviceable tires with life left in them. I have found them to be quite smooth at any legal speeds(I ALWAYS keep it under 70) and not too terrible in rain and snow. Maybe as I'm someone who grew up with cars long before radial tires that were routinely worn out by 15K and looked like the top of my hairless head! LOL As someone who has worked in and around the auto industry at both GM and FCA I can tell you they build everything to a price point, they have to as it is highly competitive. They are never going to put something like a Duratrac on a regular truck, Ram Rebel yes. Oh and one more thing. NEVER buy tires at the dealer, find and develop a good relationship with a local tire shop, you won't regret it.

Could it be that the dealer needs to check wheel alignment and front suspension adjustments. Maybe a bent rod? If the tires are properly balanced I would thing its something with the truck adjustments. I hope they fix this issue soon. Call FCA corporate and open a Star Case. Its not hard at all I did two cases on my Grand Cherokee Summit and It was resolved for me quickly.

I have a 17 1500 limited, which I used to like. Recently, I replaced the original Goodyear SRA’s with 27000 miles and wearing thin on both the inside and outside. The truck rode great with the Goodyear’s, but the wear was unacceptable considering they were rotated every 3000 miles and 39 psi at all times.
I replaced them with Bridgestone Alenza Plus through the dealer. When they installed the tires, they put on the wrong tires and the truck pulled to the left due to screwing up the alignment. 3 days after, they installed the correct tires and corrected the alignment, but the truck had a shake at 50 plus.
Today, after the dealer balanced the tires 3 times, and my local Firestone balanced and rotated them 3 times, the truck still shakes at 50 plus.
I have little to no confidence in the dealers ability to correct the problem, and they basically stopped returning my communications.
The truck is probably a decent vehicle, but if you can’t get service performed competently, what good is it. I am still under factory warranty and have an extended to 72 k.
I think Ram puts the Goodyear’s on because of soft sidewalls that mask various suspension issues.
I have collectively spent over 20 hours in waiting rooms trying to get a problem corrected and have run out of patience.
I had Ford trucks up till this truck, and as soon as I find a good deal I’ll go back to Ford.
FCA must have done a significant improvement on the 19 to get the accolades they have. My 17 is a disappointment.
the problem is the Bridgestone tires! Had a set of them put on and after a few days had to go back to the Firestone dealer and check them. There was a series of them that had bad compounds and were not seated properly, three of the four of mine were bad. But they replaced all of them with Firestone tires and problem went away. Also why was the alignment messed with? Going from one brand or tire to another does not require that to be done, unless something else caused it to bed needed....

I have not read all the pages, but to blame the truck for a tire problem is lame, I have had 2 cases where wheels could not be balanced, One case the tire was turned on the wheel, a couple times, and everything turned out good, on Wife's Honda, the cat would pull to the right after a tire change, aliment was fine, the wheels where rotated and it was good, they did not have another tire to put on at the time. Switched the tire out later. In both these the wheels balanced on the machine fine, but on the truck, it would shake, on the CRV it would pull. In both cases when the tires where changed, it was fine. When you buy tires in my country and thing are not right, the dealers will fix it, put new tire on

@RamCares can help you with this problem

Why bother. He's already said he's going to Ford where I'm sure these things never happen. I think someone's already sold him on the idea that the Ram suspension must have some inherent issue, which is hogwash.

I had two sets of SR-As on my 2014 and other than less than anticipated mileage, they were a good tire. Never had any suspension issues with either of my 4th gens.

I'm confused. Goodyear made the SRA's, Bridgestone made the Alenzas, and your local Firestone shop was unable to do it right.
Sounds like a truck suspension issue, but it seems like tire problems could be easily tested by borrowing a set of rims+tires and trying it out.

So..... I feel ur pain and I went thru 3 sets of Goodyear's on my 13 Ram. When I bought my 16, I pulled them off day one. The biggest problem u have is u went to a dealer for tires. I was a service manager for GM and Ford and I wouldn't sale tires. The fact that they sold u an alignment with tires was bs. The tires u get on new vehicles are not factory firsts and cost about 25-40 per tire and have no mileage warranty. Nitto works the best on Rams. Visit ur local discount tire before u kick Ram. I have a 19 now and they have changed tires but they also changed the truck. I wish u luck but not a Ram issue. U are victim to a service writer making money and a dealership doing the same. That gives all of us that work and worked in dealerships a bad name. Leave a bad taste in ur mouth at the end of the day. From all is good guys, I'm sorry and apologize.

The original tire wear sounded like an under inflation issue, but the pressure you were running makes me think hmmm. The dealer would have to fix the issue that they caused, or the truck would just sit there until they do.

Eds34pc, I am sorry you are having these issues. When it comes to tires, changing them out can lead to many issues. A truck that drives and rides well on worn out tires, will drive and ride well on new tires. Tires cannot mask suspension or bearing faults. I have had the same issue that you are explaining on two different make automobiles. The problem was one or more tires were separated. Rotating or balancing didn't help. The vehicle violently shook at 50+ mph. The tire store slowly rolled the tires, with the vehicle was on the lift, and the tread appeared to wobble. Sometimes the tread doesn't appear to wobble and can be separated. If you want to go back to Ford, that is your decision, but I feel you should go to a reputable Bridgestone tire dealer and have them check those tires and have them put on a new set to see if it repairs the situation. If not, then go to another dealer, as Ramcare has offered help on, see what could be the issue. As far as the dealership causing you to wait so long for the oil changes and other small issues, there are other Ram dealers, probably within an hour of you. None of us have time to spend all day in a dealership.
I have said all this, noticing that the op hasn't responded in awhile. Maybe it will help others out there who get this far in the thread.

Update- Firestone road force balanced and rotated the tires, finding the fronts that were balanced by the dealer were off by 2oz. Currently I have a random shake that at times happens at 45, 55, and feels like a cobblestone road. This thread has gone all over the place, so a recap;
Had SRAs with 26000 miles, rotated religiously and psi at 39 all around. Thin on both side of the tire. No shake or vibration.
Bought Alenza Plus , mount balance and alignment. Picked up truck, dealer installed wrong tires and truck pulled left. 3 1/2 hours
Dealer installed correct tires 3 days later and reluctantly corrected alignment, said they didn’t have time after I had been waiting 3 1/2 hours. Trucks shakes at 50-60
Dealer balanced back tires again, still shakes. 3 hours.
Dealer balanced again, truck still shakes 3 hours.
I contacted Bridgestone they said to replace. Dealer said they were not set up to warranty Bridgestone tires.
Firestone store replaced the rear tires, still shakes.
My frustration is with the dealer. All told I have spent over 13 hours waiting, 4 trips to dealer at 30 minutes each way, and at no time offered a loaner, and was even told I lived outside the range of their shuttle.
My truck is my transportation for work. I used to love the truck, but now I dread the thought of getting the current issue repaired, since I can no longer afford the time it takes to have the dealer take a stab at fixing it.
Most times I take the truck in for a repair, such as the ram thump, the 1st response I get is “that’s normal “. It took me 3 visits and a ride along with a tech to get them to admit it wasn’t normal. They did a software update that corrected the issue, but on the way out said don’t be surprised if it comes back, which it has 8000 miles after the update.
FCA should be all over these dealers to make sure they do exemplary warranty work, since that is what I paid for when I bought the truck. The dealer didn’t hand me the keys and say “best of luck in the service department, and make sure you have plenty of time to waste.

I understand the frustration. I’ve never dealt with a service dept any brand that was good. Let’s be honest their #1 job is to make money. They’ll sell you service and maint all day but to actually get a problem fixed from the factory is a hassle. Again all brands I’ve had em all. GM was BAD And so was Kia. Ford and ram are not much better. Hopefully they get ya fixed up
