I just measured mine- 30 1/4'' from where the wire starts to the end.
Thank you, looks like I'll be draining some oil out.

It's always fun to try and drain just "some" oil...

So it does appear my dipstick is shorter than those who report a 6qt fill up.

I'm not sure if it's just because there is fresh oil in the engine, but filling it with 7qts (to the full mark on my dipstick) has resulted in the engine sounding significantly more quite.

As far as oil pressure goes, I'm seeing around 90psi on cold starts which slowly settles back down to the 30-40psi while driving on the highway.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? Take some oil out? Don't worry about it? Change dipstick?

Oil level too high and the crankshaft will hit the oil in the pan and beat it into foam and air is a poor lubricant. Cut the bottom half of a gallon jug off and put a quart of water in it and mark the level, dump the water and loosen the drain plug enough to where the oil is draining into your jug and tighten when it hits your mark.

Can either of you confirm the P/N of your dipstick if you have time? Here's mine (68154682AA) it's hard to read without a camera!a3a11afae88cb604b08d8548dd908be3.jpg

The last are 2 are AB on mine I can't read your last 2 but the other numbers are the same.
Mine is the same as yours. His looks like the letters are AA not AB like ours

Mine is a 2015 Looked up both part #s and see what they say
I did, my truck is a 2014. My part number says 2013-2014.

Your part number says 2015-2017.

I guess my next step is to order another AA and see if it comes in at the same length as mine?

I lied, can you take a picture of your dipstick handle too? No rush...but I'm wondering if the plastic part is different from mine as well.

I just had a thought that we should be measuring from the stop on the plastic part as it could be a different length. Different years could also have different length tubes. There must be something different between the AA and the AB parts.
