well, i have a feeling this thread is going to move even slower for updates now that the dealership got back to him. aside from that there really hasn't been anything else going on for days here that's productive. lol
I agree! Me and buildy can play for days at this, as long as he wants, but let's not sidetrack the dude's thread here. All kidding aside he does have some issues to work through with his truck and I'm glad to hear they got him a loaner to at least give him another ride while he gets it figured out
That's one of the unfortunate things about buying popular vehicles, especially today with the "just in time" part stocking philosophy; everything gets diverted to the line and people who need parts end up at the back of the line because they already paid. Needing parts with no ETA on arrival for a vehicle that's under warranty really sucks.

Update: Parts will not all be in until August 12 (maybe) :-(. This puts me at at least 46 days out of service for this visit alone.

I’d like to be out of this truck but it has to go through the legal process. Part of the problem is that they cannot release it to me until it’s fixed because some of the items are safety related, so it will be there for 46 days this visit minimum. It makes the case much stronger but part of the process is having the vehicle inspected, which can’t happen until I have it back.

interesting. i imagine they would like to try to argue, hey, we fixed it so they don't have to get you out of it..but i think you have them by the balls. there will certainly be quite the history of issues with a new vehicle to reference! how's the Pacifica?

It’s easy with 3 kids, but I’d never own one. Handles terribly, and only FWD. The way the 3rd row folds is ingenious though...

The last time my truck was in they gave me a Journey, and my 5 year old daughter said “they should throw this car in the garbage when you take it back.” I told her not to be a snob, but she was right.

Today is officially the 30th day my truck will be in a service department since I took delivery on December 15. Unofficially the 31st day since they refused to give me an RO for one visit. Still waiting on parts. Unbelievable.
