The adapter needs to be able to change connection to different pins on the obd connector. I don't know of any adapters cheaper than the obd MX that actually do that.

You can actually buy harness adapters that do the pin change (hence the message about a blue adapter) but the adapter is about half the cost of an obd mx

After seeing this post it reminded me I had a Tazer in the closet that I purchased for my Chrysler 300. It worked well and did many things. When I purchased it they did not have one for the RAM. I traded my 300 for the RAM over a year ago. I contacted Zautomotive and they told me how to update the Tazer to work for my RAM. I can now do burnouts in my driveway using the Line Lock feature. Lol. Not sure how the neighbors liked it but no police showed up. Excited to see what the light shows look like on the truck. Tonight.....

Hello, New User here and have learned a lot thus far. I tried a search to no avail to the exact scenario/issue I am seeing.
I have a 2013 Dodge Ram 1500. I have installed an aftermarket Backup cam (Infotainment) and was able to successfully unlock the feature. However, when I enable Cargo Cam I don't see the option even appear on Uconnect. It was there before I did the 17.43 update. Even tho I don't have the hardware installed for the CHMSL would the button or setting not be present on the screen?

Appreciate everyones time and documented posts. Has helped new comers like myself a lot!

Just got a new Alpha update hopefully it has the mileage correction for the 7" evic working now. I will try after work.

Odometer correction works!!!!

Here’s a few screen shots below. There’s a drop down for 3.5” and 7” now

Below I just left my truck in the off position

Mine took right away and after it said complete the mileage showed up with what I put in on Alfa

Question:

I'm having a few error codes comes up and hoping AlfaOBD with this...

U0231 - Lost Communication with Rain Sensing Module
B23AA - Implausible Data from Rain Sensor
(Which I dont have, am hoping I can somehow disable it? At one point the windshield was replaced before I owned it and there is no rain sensor anymore)

B2854 - Implausible Data from AHBM (not sure why)

Also, I periodically get messages about my rear blinkers out on both sides, I assume because they are LED bulbs but I don't know how to specify otherwise.

Anyone able to help with this? It's a 14 2500 .thanks!

AHBM I believe is auto-high beams. Its possible when the windshield was replaced they did not install the correct rear view mirror? Since that is where the auto high beam "camera" is.

Alfa should be able to disable all of those features....there is a thread about someone who ADDED rain sensing wipers using Alfa, you could check that to see the settings that need to be changed to no. Also a thread on adding auto high beams. And I think both threads are linked from the first post in THIS thread, so check it out on page 1.

Yes! It worked on my 2016 2500 HD which I upgraded to the 7" EVIC. However, the hours setting did not work. I had to start with the cluster completely blank.
Turn key off and open the door.
Close door
Wait for cluster to go completely blank
Connect to OBD MX dongle
Open Alpha
Then do the rest of the IPC procedure to change total hours.
Disconnect from OBD MX and Close Alpha

Start with completely blank cluster as noted above.
Close door
Wait for cluster to go completely blank
Connect to OBD MX dongle
Open Alpha
Then do the rest of the IPC procedure to change idle hours.
Disconnect from OBD MX and Close Alpha

After that all is good.
