Yes. That's perfect for the sxm. Now to find the other one. This is exactly what NavRepair sends with radios that are missing the colored clips.

It's practically impossible to find the correct brand PCB mount connectors new so you can pull the colored piece off and use on a radio. I ordered several brands before I gave up.

This is a long thread. Is there a post that lists the things that the swap will do and will not do in a fourth GEN ram?

If you have a RA3 you get a HD radio. I will say it is so much better reception. It also operates quicker than the RA3. Finally you get the Apple CarPlay and AA capability.

I have a 2017 with the stock 8.4 NAV radio. I guess that is RA 3. I have a back up camera. I never use Uconnect. I think I read back in the middle of this thread that the navigation has problems communicating with the cluster? And that u connect doesn’t work? I have an iPhone, with Apple Music and listen to it almost exclusively. The Apple CarPlay would be the main feature that I would like to have. Would like to be able to get album art on Apple CarPlay through Apple Music.

The NAV in the UAQ has worked flawlessly so far. The thread does say you can not get over the air software updates.
P.S. the NAV works in the cluster on my 2017 as well as backup and cargo cameras.

Question on this for @Ricks Ram , was it you that said something about needing a 2018 cluster to fully communicate 100% with a UAQ?

Thanks... good to know.... I guess I will pull the trigger on this upgrade. I have not gotten updates on my NAV, is that something you have to subscribe to? Or is it done at the dealer?

You are correct about Uconnect, however I think if you can find a good UAQ radio at a fair price, I would convert and not look back.

I do know that they offer map updates for the RA3 online. I hope this is possible for the UAQ in the future.

Pretty sure but not positive that all Uax style radio updates are only available OTA. So if you get a radio see if you can get the donor vin and check the Uconnect website for updates. It's been almost a year since the last Uaq update. And as far as needing frequent map updates many people prefer Waze or other navigation apps.
I love my Uaq and @Mpgrimm2 from
M2 Mods made mine happen. He has all the info to determine what if anything you need for a harness or a hvac module.

The display issue mainly showed up on 13-15 clusters with some of the UAQ's sxm stations not displaying title names across the top of the evic and some of the turn by turn directions (UAQ) not displaying correctly. I don't think this will be an issue on a 16+ truck/evic.

If your 17 truck has dual zone ATC ? then you most likely only need the 18 ram PN UAx radio, one of the compatible 2018 USB hubs listed and the hub adapter harness we offer.

If you don't have ATC, you 'may' get away with only swappping out the HVAC module for the 2018 version but there's a better than 50/50 chance you will need to add ATC to get the HVAC blend doors to work correctly to give full hot/cold.

Thanks, my truck is a single cab. I don’t think I have automatic temperature control. If I do I’ve never used it. I’ll have to check it. Where are there instructions on changing out the HVAC module?
