I bought the Predator P2 Platinum for my 04 5.7 ram 1500, updated the tuner, installed the 87 octane tune successfully, now my truck won't start. After the tune installed it cleared DTCs, and after being told everything was successful I unplugged the tuner and turned the ignition on. Heard everything power up but now it's like something is trying to power on but can't. I plugged the tuner back up to my truck in hopes of just going back to stock and it told me it could not recognize my pcm... But it gets a lot better..... I took my tuner back inside to my computer to check if I just needed and update again. No I did not. Took it back out to my truck, plugged it in and it asked me if it was the same vehicle the tuner was last used on, I clicked yes, it then told me it could not ID my vehicle and proceeded to reset itself. Since then I've just gotten the "cannot ID vehicle" message. My obd2 scanner will not communicate with it either. My battery is not dead, when I open my door my odometer shows on my dash, insert the key and the door chimes sound, turn ignition on, my radio comes on, dash lights illuminate, but no start, not even a turn over. Just the sound of something that sounds like it's stuck in a loop. Please help me out, I love this truck too much. I can post a video of the noise mentioned if needed.

I did post this same info in the Diablosport P2 forum also. No reply yet. I've had the problem since Thursday night and have not been able to call customer service due to working the US Marshall's office from 8 am to 5 pm Mon - Fri and that is also their tech support hours.

Are you in the same time zone as where there support center is(Florida)? If not that may give you a little wiggle room. If you can’t call, maybe you could email them.

I know the voices in my head aren’t real, but man, do they ever come up with some great ideas

Yes same time zone, I just assumed that if they're not going to simply pick up the phone on the weekend, then they probably wouldn't open and reply to an email. You're not the only one with the idea lol. On just about every thread on the DS forum website, DS has had their customers call them for tech support.

Yeah I'm in Dandridge, TN. Bout 30 minutes from Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge and Knoxville. I bought the tuner originally to correct my speedometer, but I couldn't resist a tune since I spent so much money on the thing... Now I'm really regretting that decision lol.

That’s the same reason I bought my Diablo tuner, but I went with a custom tune while I was at it from Hemifever. It is much more noticeable over the canned tunes that come with it.

Couldn’t you call them on your lunch break?

Try connecting a battery charger to the battery and see if it recognised the vehicle then.

Low voltage can cause lots of problems when flashing an acu.

With only 30 minutes and multiple callers in front of me, I would not have time. This was the situation for me Friday. Spent my whole lunch break in the parking lot waiting for someone to pick up.

My dad would be the only person I would consider having call them for me but I work with him so that would be no help. I'm going to take another shot tomorrow.

After a little deeper research, I think the sound I am hearing is the fuel pump constantly priming. Some people say it's the pump, some say it's a bad pcm. Still gonna see what tech support can do for me. Fingers crossed.

OP, the truck was 100% operable prior to loading the tune? Do you have adequate battery voltage(12.5V+)?

UPDATE*** I got ahold of tech support this morning (turns out I don't have to be at work till 3 today) and they sent an update to my tuner. I installed the update, plugged it in to my truck and everything started as usual and the fuel pump primed like it was supposed to. I reinstalled the stock tune and everything fired right up. Now i think my only problem is a bad cat. converter as i am hearing rattling coming from my right converter and rough idle.

I like the voices in my head. They always remember who I am. They’re also great for a good time.
