I use my nav all the time and just ordered the update. To each their own but for me, it's worth it. I travel for work and I have no issues using the voice guidance to input addresses. Shut the truck off to stop, get back in and it resumes. Stay at a hotel, get back in and it resumes. Need to go back to a place, it's in history. Found a good secluded exit to stop and take a leak, add it to your list of saved spots. Find a good fishin hole off some gravel road in the middle of nowhere, save it. I used to use Google all the time but I've grown to really trust and use the Uconnect nav.

Yeah I agree 100%. I use mine for everything even with CarPlay I only use it for music and texting. I don’t think I’ve actually used it once since I’ve had it(November 2018)

I've had some trouble with the voice nav - so you have to say the actual address, correct? You can't just say "Navigate to Copelands" but have to say "Navigate to 12545 Someroad Ave"?

From my limited experience, you have to tell it the whole address.

Pretty new here, so sorry of this has been asked/answered before... but what is teh UAQ or UAS? I have a 17 Ram 2500 w/out the Nav. Want to know if there's a way to get CarPlay.

Does the update change the graphics on the Nav at all? I just seems pricey for some road updates, but i would probably spend the $100 to get something with a bit more current graphics.

I think they are getting ready to release the 2019 update (sometime in September?).
So they are discounting the 2018 version to dump stock.
Either way you lose... If you buy it now for $99 it will be out of date in a couple of weeks and if you wait to get the 2019 version, I'm sure it will be back at the $149 price or higher.

It’s the Panasonic 8.4 radio for Chrysler
UAS - CarPlay and android auto compatible. No U Connect(Built in) Navigation
UAQ - CarPlay and Android Auto compatible with U Connect(Built In) Navigation
If you already have a 8.4 u connect it’s plug and play. Except for the hub like Grimm said above. The only down fall if you consider t one is that upgrading you will lose all U Connect services you currently have with your 8.4

I have a 2017 - and I don't pay for the UConnect service anymore. I do get the monthly health reports for my truck. If I were to upgrade to the UAQ unite would I still get those updates?

It's hard to say (probably not) and nothing that can be guaranteed.
I swapped out my factory 18 UAS for a UAQ during the first 12 mos of the full uConnect 'Guardian' trial and was able to retain full functionality during that time and I still get the vehicle reports now (they are nearly useless).

New to the forum, so be gentle. Lol
I tried completing the nag update on my new to me 2016 Ram longhorn Uconnect and now my radio is locked. It loops the message please plug in usb, and then is says wait 2-5 minutes. I have tried pulling the fuse to reset it, and nothing works. HELP!!!!!
