Hi all, I am new to this forum...and after looking around the forum a bit there seems to be some talented folks out there regarding the Ram trucks.

So here is my question: I have a 2013 Ram 3500 4x4 Laramie Quad cab short bed SRW Cummins. I pull a 5th wheel RV and would like to lower the truck 3-4 inches. The truck is higher than the 04 2500 4x4 HD Cummins I used to have and now the ass end off the RV scrapes the ground fairly often since the 2013 is a few inches higher. I have done some searching on the internet and there does not seem to be anything out there.

If I was to lower this truck a few inches would that change the towing capacity?

Any help would be appreciated.

2 things:

1: There are not commercially available kits to lower the 13, or for that matter any 1 ton trucks.

2: Cummins. No G.

How about the 2018 RAM 2500 4x4? Any lowering kits available? Need to lower mine 3" or more. Thanks

Not that I've ever seen, no. I don't think there is enough clearance for the front suspension to sit that much lower.

I'm going to go ahead and ask the obvious question. Do you have any room to lower the hitch in the front? I know you have to keep clearance above the bed rails, but that would be the easiest change to make.

Another option would be to modify the trailer suspension. I would bet that raising a trailer would be a whole lot easier than lowering a 1 ton truck.

EDIT: Didn't realize this is from 2014. Disregard.
