Did you wait 20+ more days after getting tracking info?

Once you get the tracking it wasn’t to long , there supposed to send it to there shop update firmware with English version then ship out but from my experience they skipped that part and I just got it straight from China .

Both units I got from them shipped straight from China and were delivered by DHL. I just started quoting their own shipping estimates they have listed to them through Facebook messenger. That's what you need to do. Get on Messenger and start bugging them.

Well halfway through my install last night my dog ran off. Spent the next several hours searching the woods. [Edit: She came back on here own 4 hours later]. Ended up finishing my install this morning before work. Here is my T-style alternative. I haven't changed any settings other than connecting to wifi. lol

Installed using the metra adapter. Super easy unless you install the face of the adapter upside down and of course it wasn't labeled. lol

Because the radio is recessed from the console I had to install the included metal extension brackets under the clips.
IMG_0999.JPEG

Finished install with default launcher and live wallpaper. Perfect screen size any bigger and I would be blocking the vents to much. Oh polarized sunglasses are a problem with this screen too. The screen is fixed but there are screws to tilt it up and down. However you would have to remove the radio to adjust the tilt.
IMG_1005.JPEG

Doesn't sit flush because of how the console curves but can't tell from where you or a passenger sits.
IMG_1006.JPEG

Installed the INCLUDED external mic!! Haven't had a chance to test it though.

The radio sounds fantastic! Way better than the factory or T-style units. The screen is very responsive even more so than the PX6. The quality of the screen is really nice as well. I had to dig through videos to find the passwords for the settings so now I am ready to start customizing. :)

Note: Here is the link to the radio I installed. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RFQJ4HY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I know Joying radios are popular options. Have you tried an Android Auto or CarPlay dongle with it yet?

The Joying unit I installed has android auto and carplay built in using the Zlink app. Carplay is supposed to be wirelessly but still working on getting it to work.

Oh and I just figured out they sent me the wrong one so now I have to figure out if I lost anything with this one compared to the one I ordered. I guess the fun doesn't stop at T-style radios. I ordered the one with the intel chip and got the PX5 version instead.

Any reason you want one processor over another?

According to Joying's own video the intel sc9853i is slightly faster than the PX5. Plus I am missing features as well. It is supposed to have the built-in 4G module, support for subwoofer out, and wireless apple carplay. The PX5 version does not. Oh and I saw a blog post on Joying website about upgrading the board on the PX5 version with more ram and Android 8.1 which makes me believe I may have got a refurbished unit. They don't even offer the PX5 unit with 4GB RAM 64GB ROM. They only have intel units listed. We will see what replacement I get from Amazon. Luckily I don't have to send this unit back until after I receive the new one so I can reuse the connections and should be a quick swap.

Side note: My wife told me to give up on the radio already and that it would be easier to buy a new truck! I said NO! (Never give up. Never surrender!)

Adapt and overcome motivator (but keep that new truck remark in your arsenal)!

I have the Phoenix radio PX6 radio, but I have a few problems.

The radio outputs 24hr format time to the dash even though the radio is set to 12hr and displays 12hr format on the radio.

The temperature displays from 113-130 degrees. 113 it puts out cold a/c so the temp controls work, they temp display is just wrong.

I have the included android and Apple CarPlay however Apple CarPlay will not work. I can connect my phone and use it as a hotspot through the USB but CarPlay will not connect.

Welcome to the party pal! You are in uncharted territory. Only two of us have had the PX6 installed in our trucks and we both sent them back for different reasons. I can offer some support. Often times these units may have two settings within the radio for similar things. I would look through system info settings, user setting, and advanced settings for the time format issue.

As for the temperature display thats a new one. You can check to make sure you are set to Fahrenheit in the settings. If you are then the next step would be to tell us what kind of climate control you have to figure out if your truck type and protocol settings need to be changed.

You are the first to have the built in Apple Carplay so that maybe a little harder to troubleshoot. If it is anything like the dongle the carplay uses both wifi and bluetooth to connect but other than that not to sure. I know @NJ4X4 ordered the same but last time I checked he was still waiting for his.

Edit: Check the following settings are set for carplay:

I'm still waiting for tracking info and quickly seeing just how bad Phoenix Radios' customer service is. They said they would check with "China shipping" and get back to me. Since then, they closed and removed my ticket and I never heard anything else.

Seems like maybe there's a hold on making these PX6 units... After opening another ticket with Phoenix to check the status of my order, I rec'd this response:

Sorry, it is still not fulfilled. The factory hold on the shippment.

Our purchasing are pushing the factory and advise the updates once available.
