First had this thing come on one morning last winter when it had been below freezing overnight. I thought, sure, tire pressure drops in the cold. And sure enough, it went off an hour later.
Lately it has been coming on intermittently. Sometimes stopping and restarting helps. But now the dang thing is blinking constantly. Can I possibly have lost five or more pounds of pressure in each tire overnight? I really doubt it. Is this a case of needing a computer reset at the dealer, or physical violence with a wrench?

When was the last time you aired all 4 tires up to 40? Are you saying you just aired them up last night?

Also have you used a manual gauge to see if the actual pressure matches the display?

If it is a 1500 I played around till I found I could get away with 36PSI using dry air and did not trip TPMS
at -20C that 44psi is stupid in the winter

You keep em at 36? Cause if you do and it drops it’ll trigger the warning. I ran my 2500 tires right at the threshold and would drop when cold and bam light. I’ve gotten used to my light lol

If the light is solid, it means low tires pressure. If the light is flashing, it means there is a problem with one of the components..dead battery, no radio, etc...

The threshold for the low tire screen to come on is 20%. So, if the placard on your door jam is 40psi, then that screen will pop up whenever any one tire falls below 32psi. In order to get rid of that screen, you must FIRST bring the tires up to at least 40psi, make sure the rf hub picks up on it and the screen and light go away, THEN you can go down to what you normally run your pressures at. Just keep in mind, the closer to the threshold that you keep the pressures, the easier it’ll be to trip that screen every morning in the winter and having to reinflate to reset it.

They were aired up about six weeks ago by the dealer during an oil change. Maybe they are all losing air, I guess.
