I’ve been waiting on a reply since May good luck

That's crazy! I'll give them a couple days and see what their response is. I'm still within the first month...so I might just return it for a refund and maybe try one from Linkswell or Rhino.

Here's an update on my almost week old PX6 from Phoenix... It had boot up problems the first two days after installing it. It would try a few times and them just go to a black screen. It only did it on the first start up each morning...then would work fine all day. I put a ticket in with Phoenix explaining what it was doing and they responded saying they need me to send a video. I haven't been using the truck this week to go to work, but I did start it every night.... it hasn't done it again, so I can't send them a video yet. Not sure if that's good or bad.

The "built-in" Android Auto I upgraded to hasn't worked yet. It brings me to a screen asking for an authorization code. I sent pics of the screen to Phoenix with the image that said needed to be scanned, who sent it to the techs in China. They responded and said it was now activated and should work. But, still no luck. I sent them a video tonight of it not working.

Other little issues.... Clock keeps going to AM and temp on unit (once I enabled it) is set to Celsius. Every time I change it to Fahrenheit and re-start, it's back to Celsius.
Clock issue fix attached. acea043e97f8cc608666412efadcc99e.jpg

Thanks for the response! I found pretty much the same instructions on a Linkswell add for their radio.... it also mentioned turning the truck off for 3+ minutes before restarting. I tried it twice....and still no luck.

Nobody has ordered a PX6 unit from Rhino yet. You could be the first! Or at least the first on this thread. [emoji106]

I was going to post after work today. Some folks may remember I was trying to figure out a way to activate the "Vehicle Settings" menu on the 7" evic screen as we lost most of the settings when installing this radio unless you had an RA1 radio. The RA1 radio did not come with that menu ability so it was in the evic. RA2 and RA4 radios had the menu in the radio so it was not activated in the evic. I found out by asking in the AlphaOBD thread if anyone knew of a way to activate the menu in the evic using AlphaOBD. Voila! Someone did and it is pretty simple. In AlphaOBD connect in the Body Computer and go to Car configuration change/ECUConfig 4-IPC Feature Configuration/ Value yes and it works great.

My post in AlphaOBD was "If my bad back would allow me to dance a jig, I'd be dancing right now. Thank you! Since putting the premium 7" evic in the dash, coupled with the Tesla Style radio I had lost all of those settings as they were in the RA2 radio. I now have the "Vehicle Settings" menu in the evic. It allows access to trailer settings, compass settings, etc., all the items in the "Console Menu" of the Tesla radio that do not work or are just not there. As you said before it should be added to the known working items if it isn't already there."

I am a happy camper today.

Here I am on page 163 of this thread you guys have really gotten into the meet of the head units!
I was wondering if the same configuration in AlphaODB would add the " vehicle settings menu " in the 3 inch EVIC?
Also I ordered my 7.1 fast boot from Phoenix in August this year and for what it's worth they were relatively quick on shipping and very responsive to the one little issue I had. My unit has been very stable so far.

P.S. this will be my first post on this forum, I suspect I will have done it wrong after I hit the post button.

I’m not sure if it will show on the 3”. Wouldn’t hurt to try.

Hello please excuse my English I let it translate from Google because I'm from Germany.

For my RAM at Phoenix Automotive I have a "[PX6 SIX-CORE] 10.4" Android 8.1 Vertical Screen 1 button Navi Radio for Dodge Ram 2013 - 2018 "with
Bought 4 G Ram and 64 G Rome and now minor problems when connecting. I hope you can help me with that...

The first problem is that of the back camera, although guides are displayed and he also switches the display but does not display a current picture of the environment. What did I do wrong there and how did I connect it then.

The second problem is my original front camera. Gar does not appear and the display does not switch as soon as I insert the gear. What did I do wrong there and how did I connect it?

The third problem is that I do not know what the connections (see photo) are. I simply numbered the connections. Maybe you can tell me then yes what these connections are?

I also had problems with the delivery, the first shipment was registered with DHL but never delivered despite my hints it took over 14 days. Until then Phönix Automotive then shipped a new shipment with Express but that was not Express and then I had to confiscate yesterday during installation. The gray A / C adapter (see photo) for the climate control was missing. That would mean once again remove the device and install the old one.

Then I got today the message that I will send the part but unfortunately not by express although I ordered by express ...

Well that's not what I call a service, with my problem with the two cameras, they have left me alone so far ...

I hope you can help me with my camera problem and the connections.

Greeting Dirk

I saw a video somewhere with a guy showing the vehicle information in the 3 inch EVIC. I bought Alpha and my OBD inerface shows up tomorrow, I'm going to give it shot.

Edit: I made the change with Alpha and now have "vehicle settings" on my 3" EVIC...yay! By the way I used a Veepeak V11 OBD scanner to do this $11 on Amazon. Here is an out of the box question, now that these settings are available on the EVIC do I need the CAN box the T style radio came with ( maybe just reverse trigger for camera only) ?

Is you Ram one that was sold to you new in Germany? In other words, was it made for the European market? What year is your Ram?

Last question, did it come from the factory with front and rear cameras?

Hello so the vehicle has been transported directly from Mexico to Germany and then on to Austria and delivered. Whether it was also built directly for the European area, I can not tell you! Likewise, I can not tell you whether the two cameras were already at the delivery on the vehicle. I'm not the first owner. My ram is from 2013.

Sorry I'm super late to the party. First time poster. Bear with me.

Found a company called Carsoll that offers an updated PX6 4gb/64gb Android 8.1 Telsa Style Unit. Did a bunch of research on them and spoke with their support team multiple times. Their units are manufactured at the same factory as the Linkswell units. They have extremely good customer support as well (so far every time I have contacted them I have received instant responses and with a strong level of information and customer care.

Ordered my unit Sept 6 2019, and it will be at my door on the 16th (already confirm for Monday delivery by DHL). So delivery is pretty quick (10 days, not bad).

Spoke to them about whether they guarantee the specs and quality of the product. Have it in writing that they guarantee both.

Also inquired about whether they can supply support with regard to flashing units in the event of software issues. Confirmed they can supply files upon request (but with a short period of lead time required to assure the right files are sent).

I'll update you all when my unit arrives and is installed, and with any issues I notice (if any arise).

Thanks to all of you who actively participate in this forum thread. Your information and willingness to help each other is pretty great to see. Hope to be a valuable member of the community in the future.

Carsoll lists two versions of the PX6 on thier site. Which one did you get? The one button or three button.

Their site looks very polished but didn't see an office location listed. Do they have a US or Canada office?

I got a 1 button unit as far as I'm aware.

They have a NY and HK office. Units ship from one or the other depending on stock.

Their online chat client is really useful for getting any information you need. Eugene is the guy I always seem to get. Really knowledgeable and helpful. Will answer nearly any questions you have.

Can you PM me the VIN number? That will let me lookup the original equipment.

If you're not comfortable with that you can get a original equipment listing yourself by using the following link and entering your VIN.

https://fcacommunity.force.com/RAM/s/equipment-listing

What type of radio was in the truck before you installed the PX6?

Getting really excited for this thing to finally show up on the doorstep. I have an RA1 stock unit, so this thing will be leaps and bounds better than what I started with.
Barring anything being fatally wrong with it, it will give me loads of extra features as well as fix my broken fan speen dial (2nd position not responding) by turning it into a digital control.

If weekends weren't so important for me (most time per week I get with my family) I'd be wishing these few days away.

Any hints, tips or tricks you guys could recommend?

Was thinking of using a different launcher (CarWebGuru) straight away. Is there something better?

How easy is it to load movies, and music? Is USB transfer my best bet?

Thanks in advance for your help with this transition from plain Jane radio to something worth something.

Well, since my problem at Phönix Automotive probably does not understand, I would like to explain again now with photos my problem with the front as rear view camera. Still for information, the rear camera is an ex factory and the front camera is one of the accessories!
https://www.bilder-upload.eu/bild-0637ce-1568514909.jpg.html

My vehicle is a Dodge RAM Laramie 5.7 HEMI Construction Year 2013 Generation 4

1. At my factory radio as soon as I insert there the gear "D" for driving the display switches to the front camera up to a certain speed, one drives then faster is just just displayed what you had previously selected. If you fall below the speed again, for example, to stop at a traffic light, the display of the factory radio switches back to the front camera. So in the android system of you happens when I go to the corridor "D" nothing, he does not switch the display to the front camera but continues to show what you had previously selected.
I connected the front camera to the harness "Video Input & Outputline" at the port "Front Camera Input" see photo. Is this really connected, if not then please tell me how it is connected correctly?

2. At my factory radio when I insert the gear "R" there, the display switches to the current picture behind the vehicle and shows guides. In your Android system, the display switches to also displays guides but the picture is dark (black) you can see on black background only the guides.
I connected the reversing camera to the cable harness "Video Input & Outputline" at the "CAMERA" connector, see photo. Is that really connected? If no then please write how it is connected correctly?
https://www.bilder-upload.eu/bild-53d1a2-1568514637.jpg.html

Then I still cable harness "Video Input & Output Line" following connections "Back" + "Backpower" + "Frontcamerapower"! Would I have to connect the rear-view camera here, if so as both of my cameras only have a cinch connector?

I just wanted to post something I noticed today while changing my home screen logo on a single button 7.1 fast boot. I rebooted using the "rst" button for the first time; after the boot all my saved radio channels were gone this did not happen any of the times I rebooted from the system settings screen. It seems to me that the two reboots are different, at least it is for my unit.

P.S. forgive me if this has already been adressed in the nearly 200 pages.

On the older 10.4 Ram radios, the backup camera gets connected from the main radio harness (which plugs directly into the truck harness) to this sub harness as pictured below

a9a05cea83d779b342bd2eff428bd654.jpg

for the front camera to work when traveling below a certain speed, there is a new setting on the PX6 radios (also pictured below)...

Yes that was the case on all three units I owned. The rst(Reset) button is different then rebooting. Reset would clear all my radio station presets too. I would only use the reset button when the unit locks up or having display issues and when you first receive the unit to make sure the buttons work. All other times reboot from system settings or download the fast reboot app. The fast reboot app only works from within a custom launcher like carwebguru and will not work on PX6 units at all.
