So the other day, my driver's side power window went down automatically, but didn't come back up automatically. I searched on Google and found the reset trick to get it working. Just wondering if anyone has figured out why the automatic window has to be reset from time-to-time on the Rams?

Mine was the speed humps on the driveway at work in my 2016 2500. If the window was rolling up when i went over them it would stop and then I would have to reset it.

Hahah. My wife tries to roll up windows when we’re on washboard road and it won’t do it. I laugh cause she gets dusted. But then I get smacked so I gotta stop so it rolls up lol

Try this...seems I have to do this quarterly with my SRT8.

1. Press and hold the down button. Hold to a count of 3 after the window is fully down, then release the button.
2. Press and hold the up button. Hold to a count of 3 after the window is fully up, then release the button.

Do those two steps 3 times, one after the other after the other....

And so far it only seems to be on the driver side door for me. When the driver side wouldn't automatically come back up, the passenger side worked fine... Just wondering if there was something that triggered it. Just glad it's a quick quick/reset instead of having to deal with a dealership.

If she holds the button all the way up until the window is completely closed that will over ride the automatic up and avoid having to reset it later. Also avoids having to stop and getting smacked. Well, that is a maybe on the last one.

Good info. I rolled my window down to look at something as I pulled into my office this morning. When I went to roll it up with auto, I hit a bump, the window stopped, and went back down. I pulled the switch, and it rolled up no problem. I don't know if I did it auto up or not. I will have to test my window this afternoon, make sure I don't need to reset anything.

Can you post us a pic of that 2106 2500? I don’t know how you got one 87 years early but we would love to see it!

Just giving you crap, couldn’t help myself
