Morning all.

Have a 2019 Limited, 5.7 with eTorque, 33 gal fuel tank.

At multiple different gas stations, when I go to refuel from mostly empty (< 1/4 tank), the fuel filler gets to about 75% full and then auto-stops. I can't add more gas without the nozzle shutting off again.

Took the truck to the dealer who says they put in fuel and had no issue. They said that there was an earlier version of the filler neck which was causing problems but that my VIN has the newer neck in place.

Has anyone else seen this problem? It's annoying since it means more frequent visits to the gas stations (already too frequent at 14.6 mpg).

Thanks!

Maybe your Nozzle is just to big.

I'd ask the dealer where they filled it at? Then go there and see if you have the problem still. If you do take them with you next time to put gas in and see if it works.

They went to the same gas station where I have had the problem multiple times. I did discuss with the service tech having someone come with me next time, but would probably be difficult to coordinate.

Record the gas pump shutting off, and then turn on the truck and show the fuel gauge at 3/4 full. Show the recording to the service manager.

Are you pushing the nozzle in all the way? The capless systems have 2 valves you have to push past in order to fill it properly.

sounds like a vent problem the air being rushed into the tank is not exchanging fast enough with the gas being put in . another words the tank is filling with air and telling the gas nozzle to shut off like the tank is full. Problem with e vac system their is a pump for that

don't know about the 2019, but with the 2018, some folks here have recommended when you put in the nozzle tilt it up to get it to go in a bit further. i've done that since i had a couple wouldn't fill easily episodes. its worked like a charm since doing that.
