Hello,
I have a 2013 ram 1500 tradesman. I bought a set of recon tail lights off a guy that took them off his 2013 and he said that the connectors might be different for the brake light, turn signal connector. The connector in my truck is has 3 tails and is more oval and the connector on the new tail lights have 4 tails and are more square. He said that all I would have to do is cut the connector plugs off and straight wire it together. Does anyone have any advice or information on if that's okay to do or if there is a better way to do it or am I just stuck with headlights I can't use? Thanks!

I have seen that but the taillights I have only have a connector for the brake lights and turn signal. The stock reverse light goes back in. Would I just connect the one connector and leave the other one hanging there?

The OEM LED tail lights use the fourth wire for the "bulb out" indication back to the BCM, where as the incandescent doesn't.
Both of the OEM incandescent and LED tail lights use a separate reverse bulb and plug.
The factory LED tails use a 7440 reverse bulb, and the factory incandescent tails use 921. They are different size bases so the bulbs are not interchangeable, but I'm not sure if your reverse bulb socket will fit in those tails.
