19ram26Maypaint.jpg Travelled an interstate today in hilly terrain. Cruise control is rock solid, almost never deviating even 1 mph from the set point. Lots of construction and they post a radar readout at the beginning of the reduced speed zone. Speedometer is spot on. Gassed up and the truck reported 16.1 mpg and manual calculation was 16.0113. Close enough for me. The truck was as smooth as silk.

Made a repeat trip (post #21) and the truck reported 17.6 mpg. Odometer is just under 1000 miles now. This is a great truck!:)

I'm with hotrod45....exactly the same experience with my 2017 Rebel.

I've driven from Minnesota to:

British Columbia/Alberta: Banff/Jasper National Parks
Key West Florida
Separate trip to northern Alabama
Palm Springs, CA

The truck is rock solid and rarely deviates more than 1-2mph from where the cruise is set. 28,300 miles now.

I get 13-14 in town and 16-18 depending on terrain while on the road. I've pushed it to 19 on a few rare occasions.

Larger tires, heavy truck...so I wasn't expecting 20mpg like my 2014 Durango R/T...but I didn't buy the Rebel for the mileage.

Super comfortable...and a dream on the road.

Next up...Sept/October to Rocky Mountain National Park.

Drove it to the beach and pulled a 14ft trailer this beach supplies and golf cart. Gas mileage sucked. It calculated it around 12

His question usually gets asked in a lot of the "What MPGs are you getting?" threads. If your really concerned about fuel economy, why would you buy a truck, Hemi, lower gearing, etc. My biggest thing when buying my truck is it didn't have spark plugs, the stellar fuel economy was a bonus.
You know, this is NOT a stupid question. I see people say all the time, "I don't worry about gas mileage." That's like saying, "I don't care if I have a hole in my wallet!" Then, they say "if you're so worried about gas mileage, don't buy a truck." Maybe they NEED a truck! Maybe they drive a lot of miles, and NEED a truck! Maybe they aren't money stupid! If you take a truck that gets 12 mpg, vs a truck that gets 18 mpg, that's over 150 extra miles per tank! (26 gal tank) That's going to add up really quick. I just can't understand why all the hate on someone asking a legitimate question. If you don't care, fine, but some people realize, gas cost money, and aren't stupid with their money. Must be a bunch of little boys in here that daddy is buying their gas.

My ‘17 with 5.7 hemi and 3.92 gears with now 16000 miles averages 16-17 in town and I averaged 20.7 on the highway running 70-75 mph on a trip to the beach. I’m very pleased with those numbers and love the truck!

FWIW, 17 Hemi, 3.92 4x4. Best was 19 ish on the open highway and 14 ish winter fuel around town. Typically ~ 16.5 mixed city driving. Dropped to 10.5 pulling a 2 horse trailer full of hay last summer

Gassed up the truck yesterday. The evic was showing 17.4 and manual calculation turned up 17.7. About 2400 miles on it now. That was for short trips of two or three miles, more regular trips of 10 or 11 miles and then several short hops before coming back, and a few distances of about 20 miles on back country NH roads and secondary roads (40-55 mph). Very pleased with this truck and I can hardly wait to see where the gas mileage tops out after it's broken in.

I picked up my 19 Rebel with 392 gears Halloween night. I have almost a 1,000 miles and am sitting at about 13.5 mpg average. A lot of in town driving, but some of that is short stretches of highway at 65 mph. I haven't had a chance to take it out on the road for a trip yet. So far I love this truck.

Update: It is now at 14.0 mpg after a few more miles of driving.

11-30-19 Update: Mileage is up to 14.8 after about 1,300 miles.
