5.7 L performance

I've driving a 2004 RAM 1500, 5.7L. Has anyone had and ECM tune done on a 5.7L and what difference did it make? I've talked to three companies that can do the EMC tune for my 2004 truck, but none of them felt that they would be able to produce a noticeable improvement.

You can either get a "canned" tune (standard tunes in a handheld) or a custom tune sent by email or done by a shop. Custom tunes are tailored to your combo, though may not be worth the expense on a bone stock vehicle. Either way, since it's a naturally aspirated engine you aren't going to magically get like 50hp, most gains tend to be in the 10-20hp range. Now you throw a cam in it...
