Has anyone else had this issue, my rear axle cover is pulling out about 3/4”

I have only seen it once on the AAM Axle and the one I replaced did the same thing as yours. It appears that the top plug weld on the left axle tube was never installed or it came out afterwards. Yours looks like the lower plug weld has started to come out too but it could be an illusion from the pic.

That for sure isnt a common issue. I would get that fixed asap. Shouldn't be a hard fix just time consuming and some welding. Could always add a truss to it as well.

Edit just seen on the driver side you missing one of the axle tube pins to hold it in as well.
