My vehicle is not being sold, I own my vehicle, have my own plates, and it’s already registered here in Ontario.
These are the current laws in Ontario for having any type of safety inspections.
Also, it’s not used as a commercial vehicle or it’s not a bus.
If there is an issue, I’ll make proper changes as needed.
Or find a mechanic that likes cash. [emoji6]

The biggest restriction for these trucks is the manifolds and the y pipe. everything after that can be improved but isnt terrible.

LTs and an aftermarket y pipe make a very good improvement on these RAMs. for the ultimate free flowing fully bolt on exhaust combo we recommend the Stainless Works headers with performance connect mid pipe and their performance connect catback. This eliminates the stock y pipe design and replaces it with an x pipe which is optimal for exhaust flow!

If I were to do it all over again I would go this route! After viewing the difference an X pipe makes in scavenging alone to me would be worth it.

Last truck I put headers on this is exactly what I did, SW LT's X pipe(was a ypipe stock). BIG improvement and changed the sound too which was cool because it didnt sound like the other trucks of its kind. Actually my last 2 trucks with LT's i converted them from Y pipe to X pipe.

In NY we have yearly inspections that require the vehicle to be hooked into a computer to communicate with the state during the inspection. Makes it pretty hard to get around things, not that it can't be done, but it's a pain to deal with every year. The $500 beaters that sell the quickest up here are the ones that have the most months left on the inspection, cause after that it's going to take money/effort to get them to pass again.

My truck has cats and doesn't throw codes. The tune has the CEL light enabled as well. It will pass OBD2 tests all day long

I'm going to assume you meant to say doesn't have cats? I'm also going to assume your inspections are a little different out there, if they even have them at all. I know several states don't, we get to have them every year like clockwork. I've had tunes in my truck but never deleted the cats, I'm not 100% sure on this but aside from hooking up to the computer, I'm sure they are supposed to do a visual of your exhaust to make sure it has cats. Obviously that part is a lot easier to fudge if you know people, but if any CEL light pops up within 50 miles of you coming in for inspection, it's going to fail.

I'll repeat it. My truck has longtubes, 3" y-pipe with cats, 3.5" primary, Carven R muffler.

I ran the Diablo canned 91 tune for months and never once set off a CEL with the headers. I switched to a Jay greene tune and again no problems with CEL. Yes the light does 100% work.

Yeah I'm not debating any of that, I fully understand a tune will allow you to pass inspection and have known that for quite a while (I had my first tune when I was 17 on my 99 Sierra). I live in NY, where they don't make things easy, and I am into performance cars and trucks, so I understand all about the importance and necessity of tunes. Just around here, most of the time when people are having to try to pass inspections and are having trouble, it can be due to them doing something like removing the cat and still trying to pass. I incorrectly assumed you had deleted the cats, I did not read your previous post that listed your setup.

And actually I'm not even sure of your first response to me, "My truck has cats and doesn't throw codes. The tune has the CEL light enabled as well. It will pass OBD2 tests all day long"

Where did I say anything about having cats and failing an inspection? It's the opposite of that, obviously they want you to have a cat. I was responding to someone else's post about safety inspections, or lack there of, in Ontario. I don't see anything in that post at all about cats.

Nice looking setup though.

It was more for everyone reading that Longtube setups will pass an OBD2 scanner tune or not depending on the brand purchased.

I read a part in here about an 02 sensor spacer being used and no check engine light.
I have the longer single spacer that didn’t require you to cut. It worked for the first 5 days of no cats and it popped on and is currently on. I have my diablo coming next week which I’m just going to tune both downstreams out.

Did you do anything different then just hooking them up? Like steel wool?

Yeah people have reported O2 spacers working on their trucks as well.

I've heard of guys having issues. Not sure if it's a recalibrate thing or not but once they cleared codes a few times it never came back after.
