Yup!
I agree 100%! I don't understand how we can have so many recalls on vehicles nowadays. It wasn't like this years ago. What gives? ****** materials being used? Rushing the product out into the public market before it is actually ready?
sometimes there is just no way to know if there will be issues without real world feedback. You can't test every factor and driving situation before putting something into production.

why do people get so worked up about recalls.....they are fixing issues for free. Now if they charged you to fix it then I could see getting upset.

Nothing is perfect, there are manufacturing flaws (some could be directly tied to Ram, or it could be tied to the supplier) However there are warranties on vehicles for good reason. Sure its great to get a trouble free vehicle, but I sure would love for issues to pop up during the warranty period rather than after.

Oh I know there will be issues,......no doubt. It's not a perfect world. But, to have recall after recall? lol
I'm talking about all car manufacturers, not just FCA. Is it they don't test this stuff enough or use ****** materials? I wonder why so many recalls today more so than back in the day is what I am referring to here mostly as was the poster that I quoted and agreed with.

My '05 Ram Daytona rcsb 4X4 in GoMango only had one issue,...the EVAP issue. Nothing else. Man I really miss that truck. Killer machine.
My '13 Roush Stage 3 Mustang,.....only one issue, the stupid airbag recall.

I just recently saw a video on Youtube about one Demon and Hellcat/Redeye Challengers with bad rust on suspension and bolts. Not surface rust, it's like they've been sitting out in the elements for a long, long time. Again,...not surface rust, this is big time rust. The Demon owner got all his front suspension replaced by FCA. The guy that made the other video is not and telling people about this issue and to never buy a FCA product. He already had Challengers and still owns some. Any Hellcat owners on here, please check all your front suspension, upper and lower controls arms and bolts. That is a real safety hazard.
I can post a link of the videos if anyone is interested or concerned about it.

That’s crazy with the hellcat and demon

There is no money in building cars that last many many years.

Got my tail gate recall done on my 2017 ram 2500. 1 week later the tailgate fell down and was damaged because I was towing a trailer. Has anyone had the same problem. Ram is not covering the damaged because they said it was installed right.

Pffft, yup, that's why I stay away from recalls. Have 3 on my 2015, (one being the tailgate...or tailgate latch). I'm like nope, not getting it fixed. I had a recall on the transmission shift interlock....truck was doing just fine before FCA performed the recall. Now?? the key fob hasn't worked right since. Whatever they did, I don't know. There's a recall on the cruise control. I've read many a stories of people getting the recall done, and the cruise control not working properly.

The tailgate, and the cruise control all work flawlessly. Have from the day I bought the truck brand new in 2015. So I'm not getting those recalls done

BINGO!!! Smart man.
Until the tailgate falls down,.........no recall for me. I don't use the cruise control anyways,.........no recall for me.
Plus with these recalls, they say "it may happen". But, it also "may not happen". LOL

What exactly do they do to the tailgate? I just brought mine in for all the recalls and looked at the tailgate and I couldn't figure out what they did.

You won't see the "fix". There is a small clip that goes on the lock actuator to limit over-travel. It takes the tech longer to remove the access panel than it does to install the clip.

If the dealer messes up your vehicle while doing warranty or recall work I would address that separately or go to a different dealer and not let that influence my decision to have the recalls done. The recalls happen because there are real issues affecting vehicle safety. To ignore this is ludicrous. Just imagine having your tail gate drop and release cargo behind your truck causing an accident. You may be liable for this since you ignored the recall.

"IF" I carried cargo, but I never carry cargo. My truck is my daily driver that I only use to carry my body to work, the gym and shopping when needed. lol
If I carried cargo, I would definitely get this recall done though.

WELL, no recall for the MY 19, and since I got a Tonneau Cover, it would keep tailgate up, LOL. AND, the even with this setup, if I do not completely close tailgate, put down cover, I STILL GET A "Tailgate Open" warning and Big Pics in my evic, just saying.....

Never had an issue with my 2013, and I have not received a recall notice on it. I checked the VIN, and it is showing the recall. Hate to go to the dealer, so stopped by to see if I could purchase this 53 cent part. They did not have any in stock, and said they were only getting 10 in at a time, and those were for customers that needed the recall... Checked with a different Dodge dealer not far away, and they had over 100 in stock. I think it cost me just over a dollar, and did the fix myself.

My 13 has had NO problems as of yet, SO I WON'T worry yet.
The dealership where I bout my truck new from changed hands and really don't want to deal with them.
1.5 hours for a oil change,(claimed the express lube lift broke).
Service writer all but begged for a good survey score, SO I did next best ting, didn't do it at all, even after 3 emails sent to me and one phone call reminding me about it.

Had the recall done on mine a couple of weeks ago. It was literally a few small pieces that they swapped out. Have not had my tailgate fall open, but I do have a tailgate assist on there, so it wouldn't just fall open anyways.
