Just ordered one of these to replace the factory sub in my truck. Alpine system sounds fine, but I think the bass could be improved a bit on the sub side of things.

When he hooked up the speaker in the box they where 2 sets of wires, do they need to be in a certain way (left and right)? Didn't look like he was thinking of that? :word:

As long as the black is on the black post, that's what matters. Looks like dual voice coils on the new sub. Left/right should not matter.

Been dragging my feet, but finally ordered the DeeZee tailgate kit and put it on this week.

Be careful with that kit, the brackets aren't protected from rusting according to a couple reviews on amazon. The steel does look like it will rust. I bought the same kit and sprayed both sides of both brackets with black rustoleum first. I also greased the shock mounting points to prevent any rust from building up there.

I thought about painting it to at least blend in better with the bed, but assumed it was zinc or something that wouldn't have a rusting issue. I have plenty of black rustoleum at the house, I may do that this weekend, thanks for the info.
