View attachment 180651 Not sure where to go. I've used AlfaOBD successfully to program the trailer present and lighting for my 2017 Dodge Durango (WD) and I shared this setup on this forum.

I've been trying to program a new FOB for this truck but AlfaOBD keeps saying "Failed. Requested service is not supported by the unit."

Alexey sent new APK today that worked for

Alexey sent APK today that worked for my Durango WD programming FOB.

Will see when it's incorporated in a new AlfaOBD release.

Thanks

I've sent diagnostic files thru the AlfaOBD app service since May but I've received no response. I suspect AlfaOBD is not communicating properly with the Durango (WD) hub.

It will connect to my 2012 Charger for FOB programming.

Any ideas?

Alexey sent an APK today that worked for my Durango WD programming the FOB.

We'll see when it's part of a major release.

Thx

Need some help program baseline fob
Just finished working on a 2016 2500 6.4L Hemi
Update tire pressure threshold - success
Fog dropout- success
LED rear turn signals.. I switch them to LED but still got the warning.. I found an option to disable "Rear lighting DTC" and this worked perfectly!
Did a few other changes they all worked.

I tried programming the Baseline key fob using both Android app and the Windows Version.
The key was brand-new, I opened it myself it was purchased off Amazon .ca ($30)
Both versions came back with the same result
" failed - conditions not met. Damaged key or program to another vehicle"

Something very close along those lines.
Is anybody having success? Recently? Where did you purchase the key? do you have a link?

I just did some changes (first time) and I know sometimes they take a bit to show up, but looking for feedback.

2019 ram classic w/ reverse cam
Odblink mx+
Alfaodb downloaded today

Connect:
Ram 1500 ds/dx
Body computer
Body computer my2016-1017 powernet
This is the “newest” in my list

Car config change

DRL
Made all the setting changes, they work, but is there a way to see DRL in my 8.4 screen settings?
CBC features - DRL config - yes
CBC features - DRL lamp location - high beam
CBC features - DRL drop out - yes
Ecuconfig 3 - DRL customer setting - yes
Custsetmenu 1 - daytime running lights csm - yes

Cargo cam
I purchased a oem cargo cam, and deerguy harness. Just installed. After Alfa settings, the camera isn’t showing up on my 8.4, but my dash is not yelling about a rear brake light out. Is this one of the wait a day things? If nothing changes should I switch them to NO and then switch back to yes? They all show as yes in the software right now

Vehconfig 1 - chmsl camera - yes
CBC feature - led chmsl lamp present - yes
Custsetmenu 1 - chmsl line csm - yes

Has anyone come across a setting for disabling the rear cargo and bed lights from activating during the fob unlock?

I'm thinking that if I can disable those from turning on when I unlock I can tap my LED work light/back up lights into the bed lights so they turn on with the factory cargo light button.

Activation code worked great! The process, eh not so much. It connects to the OBD and everything but when I try to change hours it shows the option is set to zero opposed to what is showed currently on the premium evic. The evic resets but alfaobd never changes from starting procedure after following the instructions on screen.

Hopefully we will get an update this week in order to just use Android to change it since yours didn't work and I dont have access to windows.

I believe those are the same one I used when I do mine, they are from the "Known working settings" list in the first post.
My truck is a '15 and I used connection specific for '15. I am also using the dedicated DRL outputs but I don't think that should effect whether it shows on the radio.
I did change each one individually and waited 5 minutes between each change. The DRLs worked and the radio setting showed up immediately.

Not sure what happened, went out to the truck and now things are working (cargo cam) and menu options. So DRL has on/off in settings -> safety & driving assistance :)

Yay!

Cargo cam works, but the guide lines aren’t, no biggie there though

There are settings for both active and passive grid lines.

...and yeah, sometimes HAL9000 needs to think about what you're asking him to do. LOL.

My DRL change took 24 hours to manifest.

The cargo cam does not have the backup lines. The 2018 and 2019 trucks have the UAQ or UAS radio. They take several key cycles for the codes to appear on the radio. A quick way to get the codes in is to disconnect the battery for five or ten minutes and the re attach them and the radio will reboot. If you are getting the (Third Brake Light Out) message you will need to enable the LED cargo cam option in the BCM if you haven't already.

So I’m thinking about buying the OBD MX+ for my ‘14 Ram. Now do I buy the plug-in off amazon AND buy the $50 app for it?

Also, I have an iPhone 10 and heard it doesn’t work for it. My daughter has the Amazon fire tablet which is probably what I’ll have to use?

I just installed a pedal commander and love it, will the OBD MX+ give out any performance parameters?

Thanks in advance!!

Yes you have to the buy the MX+ and AlfaOBD are purchased separately. When you buy AlfaOBD it is linked to the Gmail account that you buy under.
Your probably best to buy an Amazon Fire 7 tablet also, they're on sale for $30 for Prime members. You can side load the Google PlayStore on it (instructions are all over the internet how to), then delete and/or most of the Amazon stuff off it. You can also use AlfaOBD as a troubleshooting and monitoring tool for truck problems.

Yes to all of this. I use an iPhone and love the mx+ as I can check CEL’s with my phone, so handy a few of my non ram friends bought it as well. I have an old android phone I use to program via alfaodb. I just made sure to buy alfaodb on my main gmail account

No.

Alfa is NOT IOS compatible.

The OBDLink MX+ is. It will allow you to do diagnostics and read codes.

The winning combo is:

Android device (phone, or tablet)
OBDLink MX, or MX+.

or Windows, if you're into that kind if thing.

As mentioned above, there is no AlfaOBD on iOS (Apple products).
Picrured is a Amazon Fire 7 2019 edition with the Google PlayStore loaded and I have AlfaOBD and Torque Pro running on it. Chances are the developer doesn't want to deal with porting AlfaOBD to iOS and Apple's verification process.

For running the Torque Pro on the Fire 7 does not have a GPS module so none of the performance parameters like 0-60 times, HP calculation, etc will work without an external GPS module. You can still use any of the other engine monitoring parameters without issues.2019Fire7.jpg

Just caught this reply, so about enabling nav in motion, do we know if that's possible?

Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
It's possible with other devices like the Tazer or the Jailbreak. The alfa tool has a setting to disable it but so far it has not worked when it has been set.
