So, I'm having issues with the heat in my 04 Ram, I get heat in vents and passenger side but not drivers side or floor, air still blows out of those spots but it's cold air. I've replaced one of the doors last year and it fixed the vents but not the drivers heat. I'm at a loss, I've checked the motors and they all work, and from what I read other places is what normally causes the issue is the broken tab on the door but my remaining doors dont have broken tabs. I bought all the doors except for the recirc door because I've seen that one move. Any tips or ideas on what door it could be?

Yea, its terrible. Been trying for a couple of days to get my plastic dash cover off, Can't get the cover to move. It seems to wiggle on the drivers side but the passenger side is stuck fast. Not trying to remove the whole dash, just wanting to get to those motors. My 2008 2500 has a 6 speed standard tranney and 4wd. I can't even get the plastic in front of the gearshift off. How can I get to the point I can begin new threads on here??? Thanks.

Youtube it. Somebody has done it and recorded it. P.S. You're better off taking the dash out. It can be done in about an hour by yourself.

Ive watched lots and lots of YouTube's abuut it. No pickup on there as a dash quite like mine. Similar, but different than what I have in front of my gearshift levers. I seem to be missing the yellow clip plug for the air bags too. 2008 2500 5.7 gas, 4wd 6 speed tranney.

Follow up. Out of sheer desperation I took a rotozip to the plastic in front of my mode 1 and 2 doors. The white nylon nobs that are suppose to attach to the mode doors would spin around and around. I drilled a 1/8th hole in the center of those white nobs then screwed them to the doors inside the air box with 1 1/4" drywall screws. I could then open and close the doors---could hear them working. After plugging in the mode and fan switches, I moved the motors to where they seemed correct for each flow of air then put the motors back in place. Floor door closed for defrost, defrost door closed for the floor. Now I have floor heat, defroster, vent and AC on both sides. I know this isn't a permanent repair, but it works for now. There is still plastic parts to replace so the cut away plastic will not be seen. Guess I will remove the dash properly in the spring if I decide to keep this truck.
