I searched and didn't find anything so here it goes. Rear brakes not working, or very little, brake pedal is firm and no brake or ABS light on. Found this out while towing a car trailer loaded with a car (no trailer brakes) and seem like it was taking a long distance to stop. I turned on to a gravel road, adjusted my mirrors to see rear wheels and hit the brakes, front locked up and rear keep turning, ABS didn't activate either, but it was a short stab at the brakes. Anybody else encounter this? Funny thing is this also happened on my 2007 1500 too but accompanied by a falling pedal, but a big hail storm solved that problem before I could, lol :(

We have two 2016 5500 we use for snow plows which do the exact same thing you described.

Tough to do a rear brake test because of weight to front transfer, get the rear up in the air/put in drive and gradually check different pedal positions to ensure operation.

I'll give this a try.
