I agree. The shift knob is exactly why I bought my '10 Laramie instead of something newer, and the console shifter is why I bought the 1500 instead of the 2500/3500. I kept my '07.5 2500 Cummins for hauling the heavy stuff and drive the Laramie as my daily driver...rowing through the gears with the console shifter is so much better than using a button on the column shifter! The rotary shifter knob. Bring back the console shifter.
I just put my truck into 5 when in town so it doesn't kick in, that's the only time it bugs me. I don't mind it on the highway as it helps a little with the mileage.MDS period !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love my truck and am 6 days away from owning it for 3 years. With that said, I wish my 2016 had Android Auto and wish I could enable the mirrors to auto fold in when I lock the truck... Not deal-breakers.
My previous vehicle would bring in the mirrors when you locked the doors. Didn't realize how much I liked/depended on it till I didn't have it since it was an easy, visual way to know if it was locked.I agree with the folding mirrors. Wish they would fold automatically when I put it in park or turn off the truck. But like you said not a deal breaker. Just a small annoyance.
That's awesome man. Congrats!I love my truck and am 6 days away from owning it for 3 years. With that said, I wish my 2016 had Android Auto and wish I could enable the mirrors to auto fold in when I lock the truck... Not deal-breakers.
front seat heaters. I can feel them but they are not as warm as my old Silverado's.
Hmm. I guess Chevy’s and Ram’s ideas of what a heated seat should be for are two completely different things. In the winter when it’s cold, on the first those little seeds to be warm on the back and on the bottom, not just either or but hey, that’s just me.Also the Chevy had the option of "Back only", "bottom only" or both. Boy do I miss the "back" setting. I used it A LOT.

I'm usually wearing a coat or jacket when it's cold so I never really feel the seat back heat.I second the back setting. Our old Sorento had that and it was really nice on long trips to get a bit of heat going to help the muscles.

Have you checked to see if you have a cabin air filter that needs replacing/cleaning? I've never experienced the 4-speed but sometimes that's the culprit...The 4 speed fan blower. It's like there is hardly any air moving. I like to find someone with a 7 speed blower and see it the max speed it boosted any or it's just 3 more intermediate levels and the same **** poor flow.

I know it's possible to upgrade to 7 speed but I don't know what all is involved. In addition, I believe if the relay that controls fan speed is bad it can effect how strongly the blower functions. That was my first guess since I live out in the country and travel dirt roads. I took it completely out and no change.

How would you characterize the max speed of the HVAC?I’ve converted from 4 to 7 speed. It’s just 3 more intermediate speeds. Max is the same.
Jimmy is a good example of someone who may have knowledge and spare parts lying about if you wanted to test your relay...Well that blows
I’m in Chicagoland climate, and honestly, I have no complaints on the actual max speed throughout the seasons. Now that I’m converted to ATC, I just leave it on auto at 70 year around, and let it do it’s thing. It gets the cabin up (or down) to temp pretty good. How would you characterize the max speed of the HVAC?

The a/c. It takes 30 minutes to cool down the cab. My 2004 Audi allroad has better a/c.
