My Putco 60" tailgate bar just quit on me. Friday the right half, yesterday the left. Only been on since March. Under warranty but a pain in the backside still.

Hauled some lawn maintenance stuff to in laws. Did a dump run for in laws. Used it as storage to hold my pup and daughter while I washed the puppy diarrhea off the lawn.... gotta love those vaccines !

Tiped on ifone using Tapatalk and auto correct. Can’t you tell?

I jump started it with the battery charger so I could pull it out of the barn to use the lift. 3 months of sitting is longer than the battery can take I guess. Now I will have to see whats up with that.

Now days with all the computers and stuff, parasitic draw is not un-common. I use these panels https://www.harborfreight.com/13-watt-briefcase-solar-charger-68750.html with https://www.harborfreight.com/7-amp-solar-charge-regulator-96728.html to keep my stuff charged for long term storae. This setup even kept the campers battery going for 2 weeks at a remote camping site recently. Now I am using them to take care of the battery over the winter. The panel will supply juice even on heavy cloudy days. The panel does not have to be in direct sunlight.

I purchased and installed my Putco tailgate light bar last month. Hopefully Your experience was a one-off case, but yeah still sucks to have to deal with.

With the clips. I trimmed the edge of the lip on the spare tire grommet so I could move it down a bit. Most of the issues I've heard of were right out of box. I've not heard of many.
