Like rubber tires and hoses the rubber air sleeves on RAM 1500 vehicles equipped with factory air suspension will eventually become brittle and dry rot or could be punctured by debris. Air suspension should last 80-120k miles before failing but our trucks do tend work harder (and have to tow heavy loads) then say a Mercedes S-Class. The air suspension is also subject to more abuse from off-road and climate conditions. There seems to be more issues with these in freezing weather too.
