Oh did I mention the moody overhead garage door opener? It works 43.5% of the time. Sometimes the cluster doesn't even show it " transmitting" . It's already been replaced once under warranty.

I do really like my Ram (Better than the F150 and Chevy I've had for work in the past).

1. Headlights suck.
2. At speed Whistle (even after changing to stubby antennae).
3. No cabin air filter …. WTF?
4. Had to buy tailgate assist.
5. Leather seats not an option for Express/Tradesman Std Cab (unless you pay waaay up for the Rebel).
6. UConnect is a VERY weak system.
7. Oil filter size and location.

I still like the Ram & would buy it again, but they coulda done better.

My currently whining A/C (assume its the compressor). If I wanted a whine while I was driving, I would install a supercharger!

Mine works flawlessly 100% of the time. And from quite a distance, somewhere around 150-200' I would say.

I imagine this is most likely interference from your actual opener. I had the same problem, with a different brand vehicle, until I changed the channel used by my wifi router.

Mine recently just began making a ticking noise. Although if I turn up the blower I no longer notice.

I thought mine was that, removed motor but it was clean (truck only had 10K miles on it, so yeah). Replaced cabin filter just for shiggles but the noise still remains. The noise follows engine RPM and is only when the A/C is on, so I assume something with the compressor.

Which kinda leads to something else I dont like about my RAM....the dealers. Everything is normal! Which is odd because it didnt make the noise until after 1.5 years of ownership.......

Negative. Since when pressing the garage opener buttons it doesn't even show on the evic the verbiage that it's transmitting.

It's a fairly easy part to swap if you have a buddy with one maybe they'll let you test theirs?

Compatibility is 2009-2012 only and 2013-2019 only...

Hmm, I have never noticed anything in the evic. Interesting, I will look for that next time I use it.

It already got replaced once at the dealership under warranty. Didn't make a difference. So it's something else .

Check your owners manual maintenance schedule. It says " At 20,000 miles or 1.5 years, whichever occurs first, replace or adjust Random Noise Generator. So according to the dealer its normal and YOUR fault because you failed to maintain your vehicle....:D

That must be why they charge so much for the 18 month required maintenance. I bet there is like 4 hours of labor involved in re-calibrating the random noise generator.

It would be nice to be able to lock / unlock all doors EXCEPT the tailgate.
Just disconnect the actuator in the tailgate . Back to old skool key method.[emoji1787] I did that for a while until I fitted the actuator stop . Ref recal.

Real dumb question, I've even Googled random noise generator ram to no avail. What is this exactly?

That is a good idea but the only problem with that...unless you just don’t use it at all for anything, is you lose your back up camera as well when you unplug that connector. Me personally, I don’t really use my back up camera in the general sense like the majority of the newer generation to back up with but I really like being able to use that camera for hitching up to a trailer, or for like if I’m backing up into a parking space and if the landscape behind me might be on a slight incline or whatever, and I don’t want to back the truck up into anything. I like being able to use that camera to see where that stuff is and know when to stop.

You would have to because the only point in that connector is so you can remove your tailgate- and since your tailgate lock and your backup camera is in the tailgate, unplugging that connector shuts off your camera.
