So today I went on a short trip and halfway there I got the flat tire light on my dash. I freaked a little cause it was pouring rain at the time and I wasn't about to change a tire in it. I had the other car that was traveling with us pull up and check it out and they said all looked fine. On the dash 3 tires were at 39 lbs and 1 wasn't registering. I found a bridge to stop under and checked the tire, it was up at the same psi as the others. So I just turned off and recranked the truck and it went away. Any ideas on how/why it lost the reading? First time ever happening to me. We've had nothing but rain the last 2 weeks wonder if moisture could have caused it.

Were you hauling/towing anything? I have had mine max out and go away when hauling the camper... Comes back when I restart truck....

Oh and another note, I have a commercial pressure gauge and a 12v compressor for emergencies... Just in case I get caught in a place without air [emoji41]

I just had the same thing happen 2 days ago. RR sensor not responding and I have the yellow light on. Been a couple of days and every time I start the truck, EVIC shows the tire pressure monitor that shows no reading on the right rear. I guess I'm gonna go back to the dealer to get this checked out.

Aired up my tires last week and all was good. Had a drop in temperature Friday night down to about 27 degrees. All tires seemed to lose a little bit (2 psi) of air which is normal but the right rear tire dropped 8 psi. Filled em back up to 46 psi and this morning right rear is back at 38. May go up to 39 after driving a while and getting warmed up. All other tires are just fine. Holding 46 psi. Ideas? Suggestions? Whats going on with that right rear tire/wheel?

My first guess would be slow leak. I've been through all sorts of tire issues, and while a leak is often cut and dried, sometimes they are rather subtle. A screw puncture where the head gets worn off and the screw is really embedded can behave like this - leaking slowly and hard to spot. This is when your TPMS actually pays off keeping you aware and safe.

Wish you luck on finding the cause.

Had a nail in my wife's Honda that caused the right rear to lose about 1 psi per day. It never went flat, but tpms warning at about 28psi, down from 35. Took the guy at the tire shop 15 minutes to find it, and when he took the tire off the wheel, they said they couldn't repair it, the angle was too shallow. That wheel is off getting a new tire now.
