What's Missing? Drivers Knee Panel

Hi All, Had my driver side knee panel (under steering wheel) removed and found a couple connectors hanging and something missing on backside of panel. It is behind the vented opening in the panel above right knee. Anyone know what goes here?

cabin temperature sensor?

That’s the cabin temperature sensor for the models with dual zone climate control(where you set your desired temperature instead of just having a red to blue knob).

What year/model is your truck?
ie 17 ram 2500 Reg Cab?

Some odd combos of cab/trim have the wiring in place for the ATC Cabin Temp Sensor.

How to Add Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) to a Manual Temperature Control Truck.
