Hemi badges are all that’s left for me and I switched to black/red on them. Just noticed the top pic is in the midst of converting summer to winter wheels lol 0C64B948-F14A-472D-AE40-0900D5ABC36F.jpeg5FB14224-D797-4186-A4AA-C036E6AC0394.jpeg

I always debadge as well. On top of looking better it makes detailing easier too ;)

Should be picking up my truck today if it's ready. This will be the first thing I do.

Why don’t you sell it outright, or try another dealer. The misnomer here is the dealer loses money on the incentive pricing but that is not true. It’s how much more they can make. The dealer should be happy making 1500.00 on the deal, if not find another dealer. They low balled your trade so they can make 4,000.00 when they resell your old truck. Just being greedy. Go back and say deal is done if you give me this price on my trade. Lay out your bank card meaning you’re ready to sign. It costs dealers interest on every vehicle that sets in their lot over 60 days.... They should be willing to work with you.

You could black out the chrome badges with flat black Plasti-Dip to see if you like it... if you don't then just peel it off...
I put a flat black hood accent on my white RAM and it really made a big difference in the look

It isn’t worth it to me. I have 59238 miles on it and a extended warranty until the end of 2021 or another 40k mikes. I’m about to pay it off in a few days.

Don’t need I want. Lol.

I don't know what yours is like but my '11 sets the tailgate and grill badge in a recess. It would look terrible on mine

For the low ball offer from the dealer, if you are ready to accept the Kelley Blue book or NADA trade in value, you can take your vehicle to CarMax and they will buy it outright and then you have cash in your hand. They won't care about you buying a vehicle. I've had family members sell three vehicles that way and each one of them received the value that they had hoped to get on a trade in. Carvana also will buy a vehicle based on information you enter into their system, but I found those to be a bit on the low side, however they do come right to your house and pick it up. And lastly, Kelley Blue book will also do a purchase option if you enter your data into their system. Good luck on your adventure.

Do they still get the trade in sales tax credit though? Assuming they are in a state that has the credit (most do) and depending on what their sales tax is (if applicable), even if you get less than selling privately it can be more worth it to trade it in. Of course this also depends on the value of the trade in, if it isn't worth as much then it won't make as much of a difference. If your vehicle is worth 25-30k or something like that, that's a lot of money to save not paying taxes on that amount. In my state, that would save me $2400 in taxes (at 30k trade in), and being able to move right into my next vehicle seamlessly.

Normally I'm not one to recommend dealers for just about anything, but in most states it makes more sense to me to trade them in. Don't get me wrong, I do fight super hard to get the deals I want so that is part of it too, but I'd have to be getting some really low trade in offers on my truck to consider not trading.
