I finally got around to installing the Phillips Ultra bulbs today. I noticed my driver's side headlight lens is cracked. I got whacked with a piece of retread a few weeks back and noticed it gouged my bumper a little bit (touch up paint already applied) but the crack to the headlight didn't stand out because it paralleled one of the "seams" the lens has naturally.
Anywho, aftermarket replacement, suck it up and buy new OEM, or scrapyard? I have the dual bulbs, not the quad bulbs. I've read a bit about the aftermarket ones not being up to par with an OEM, but don't know how much difference there actually is.
On a side note, I didn't have to take my grill off. I did loosen the top so I could bend it out a little and make getting my socket back a little easier, but with two extensions I could reach the bottom bolt with no issue. I just couldn't get my socket back off after reinstallation. (I'd put some electrical tape on the bolt head so as to not drop it on the way down)
