I want to lift my truck only 3-4 inches but people are saying to get a lift with drop spindles is better over the torsion key one because the key ones it eats ball joints need advise also 1000.00 in price difference

The lift kit will keep your ball joints and rod ends at near factory position, cranking your torsion bars all the way up puts your ball joints at an angle that could accelerate wear. Your can do what you like, its your truck

Also the lift with proper shocks will have a better ride quality. Torsion bar lift will definitely give you a much stiffer ride. Give the torsion lift a try. You may like it enough. But long term you could change your mind

The previous owner of my truck cranked the torsion bars (I don't even think he got the new torsion keys).
It rides.... like a skate board.

I look forward to letting it back down an inch or so, and hopefully get some ride quality back.

Basically all the leveling kits (torsion lifts are you're referring to) do is give you more adjustment than what stock ones would. HOWEVER, as stated they put stress and wear on balljoints and such. Ideally if you want some lift, get a real suspension lift kit.
