Ended up having to cut out the studs and add a beam to give me a bit more clearance to fit.

What I did not realize is the fin on the tailgate sticks out and should have raised the beam higher than the tailgate but it fits with about a 1/2” to spare!

Here’s a closer view of the cutout. The bumper sticks out more than the tailgate but I’m going to have to put a piece of foam where the tailgate meets the wall to keep from damaging anything.

My 2017 Crew cab short box fit perfectly in my 24 x 24 2.5 car garage fortunately for me the contract made an error when building the house and my garage ended up with 9' walls and an 8' garage door last week wife's vehicle was in for service they gave here a 2020 Silverado Crew short box we had both those trucks in the garage if she had a crew cab truck regularly my wall cabinets and garbage cans would not be able to stay as her side is 2' shallower than my side.

I have a 2 car and a single car with a wall separating them. The 1 car has a 7' door and the 2 car has a 16x8 door. Truck and wifes Crosstrek will both fit in the 2 car but wife hates pulling in with the truck in there so I tried pulling the truck in the 1 car. It fit width wise and barely length wise. I literally had about 1/2" in the back and about 2" in the front. To get in that garage you have to angle a little and wife would rather park in 2 car but for the winter she is taking the 1 car so my truck is in the 2 car by itself. My truck has about 2" roof clearance on the 1 car and that opening is 82" so truck roof is about 6'8" (or 80")

If it dips below 40 occasionally here, my wife does not want to go outside even for a minuet. Says its "too cold to be out".

I shake my head, and ask her if she wants to visit Montana for the weekend, LOL.

I am fortunate as my 2018 Ram fits in our garage with a couple feet to spare front to rear.. I do however fold the electric mirrors in to get better clearance on the sides for the garage doors to pull in even though the doors are 8' wide.:anitoof:

I built detached shop/garage for mine. 22' x 22' so plenty of space lengthwise. I went narrow so as to have a little more space in shop area but I put a 9' wide door..good thing as I only have about 2" on each side for mirror clearance when pulling in or out.
