New to this forum, but seen some post regarding nerf bars hanging low.

Just installed some Truck Gear 5" oval by linex on a 2019 ram classic. They seem to hang really low and not sure I like the look. Is there any other brackets that a person could use, like a Westin?

Had them professionally installed an dealer not willing to help with a solution.

They didn’t look that bad to me ... Just as a point of ref, here are my factories ... I had N-Fabs, and the tubes were up tight, but the step hoops hung way low, and their powdercoating sucks a$$ if you live in OHa47e9673c8e2b8e5c51f0d3931eb98fd.jpg

All the stock type boards that came on my last 3 trucks were like that. They all sit pretty low.

I searched for a few months for boards that didnt sacrifice ground clearance. I ended up getting GoRhino boards.

The lowest part of my RB20 boards, (the bottom edge of the mounting brackets) sit about even with the bottom of the trucks frame.

Good lookin step ... Certainly sits up high ... Kinda wide lookin, but probably similar to the Ford Raptor steps ... Might look a lil funny on a non-lifted Ram, but then again, not sure you “need” steps on a non-lifted Ram ... 3164b86f91e0ed29e61dac3d0b30cf24.jpg

Well sure ... How would your 72 year old Mom get in the truck, without a “low” step ... An up and tight step means you don’t have to step “into” the cab on that first step ... You can step onto the step, and then slide into the cab ... It’s an art really .... And you can avoid making that noise in the Kroger parking lot that sounds like Grandpa takin a grumpy ... Lol

Thanks for the reply,

I've also read post regarding run where to bolt on the pinch area of the rocker, is there anything I should to help prevent? Wisconsin winter can be extremely harmful

I'd spray all the mounting hardware under the truck/step with a couple coats of undercoating to minimize the rust/corrosion.
