The results are speaking for themselves... 24-1 now on improving or eliminating the tick vs not helping at all. I’m glad this thread started just in time for me to get my redline in today
Yes, we know redline is not 100% effective against hemi tick, but however the numbers end up it is clearly a good choice for lubrication hemi tick engines. I am surprised how effective it is, even if it was 50/50 against hemi tick I would think that would be pretty amazing. Just an oil change and you have a great chance your engine stops ticking, doesn't compute to weekend gear heads brains, but yet that is happening. I do think the main reason is the great formula that this brand puts out, but it also might be a window on how poor modern oils have become when the gov't forces low protection levels on us, both with low viscosity and low additives. This thread can and maybe should put the redline issue to bed. Future guys looking for hemi tick relief you can just point them this way.

WOW! that is .000284275 of all the members here. YES! it says RL doesn't do it for a lot of engines.

Well, part of the way redline kills hemi tick is you have to actually put it in your engine. And for those of us who do, it has been proven to be at least 80% effective at alleviating the issue. You you can't say I know about redline and have that kill your tick, it is not that effective, close, but not quite. Why must you **** all over this thread, it provides vital into to a serious problem, and clearly you aren't serious. Why not go start another dex crap on the world oil thread instead of dragging down this forum?

While you are at it provide how RL and other oils contain zinc and phosphorus (ZDDP). Those are wear protection additives as is moly.
