Bought this truck and it had been converted from throttle body to Holley 650 carb... wiring was hacked up a bit and was wanting to know if anyone had an idea about replacing or where to get one...would I use one of say an 85 without throttle body? I have power windows door locks and a/c.. looking for some ideas

I think most people wont touch a thread about a butchered wiring harness so your best bet is to start with the service manual or hit the JY and try and find out what has actually been modified and go from there.

To the best of my knowledge 1988 was the first year for TBI on 318s and 1989 was the first year for the TBI on 360s. Perhaps the previous owner changed to a newer year wire harness.
Both of my '87s are carbureted but my '89 is TBI.

almost sounds like the truck may have had the lean burn ignition system. 87 should have been carbed but if you got the lean burn system there is likely a bunch of extra wires to control crap you don't need. if it has been converted to 4 pin ignition system or some sort of aftermarket ignition system then you could likely remove most of the extra wiring and crap. you just have to be good with wiring to make sure you don't disconnect or remove something you need.
