Got the fronts finished and now heading to a birthday brunch, so I’ll have to finish with the rear later on this week.

For sure, I’m kinda excited to see how the Powerstops perform. I’ve been riding on some garbage EBCs for way too long. I’ll make sure to post up my review in a couple weeks when I get some miles on um.

Another trip. Blew out a trailer tire. My first time doing that. Sucked!!! Thank god for tractor supply. ;)Will go for dual axle on the next wood pickup like this. I wish I knew how much I was actually towing. I’m thinking 5-6k. She struggled on the inclines. Temps were good the whole time.

I've heard nothing but good things about the Powerstop Z23 kit for our trucks. I find the stock brakes to be lacking. My truck only has 31k miles on it but I'm going to be replacing the brakes on it soon because they make a ton of noise and the initial bite sucks. I haven't had time to do a thorough inspection but I'm guessing the pads or rotors are glazed.

My truck is my daily driver and my commute is 55 miles a day. Its a mix of stop and go surface streets and stop and go freeway traffic so I feel ya on the brakes.
No Problems here with PS i only have to change the parking brake cable, this one was broken, actually there is no parking brake [emoji16]

Just installed the same low beams myself. Will look at doing the highbeams next, this should hold me over on a retrofit, LOL
My thinking exactly. Want to save a little for a cam install (not needed, but want the power and peace of mind), yet had been looking at retros more often...knew it was a matter of time if I didn't buy something soon. :laughing1:

Do you have a CAT scale near you?

I got the app and for 12 bucks you can get your weight. It is interesting just to see. I got it for setting up the camper, but when I haul wood I like to get an idea of how much I lifted.

My last load of wood. My trucks base weight is 7003 so add in my weight and the stuff under the back seat my base was about 7400 I had 2460lbs of wood. Truck still had a bit of rake to it.

Did my winter detail before the rainy season and finally got around to using some solution finish on the trim around the windshield and bed rails caps that were turning grey.

What is “solution finish” or where can I get it? Noticed the trim around my windshield is turning grey and want to do something to make it black again. Most of the stuff in the auto parts stores only seem to last thru one or two good washes. ☹️

very cool. I haven’t really looked. The only scale that I have ever been on is in my local landfill. I guess I can go there.

It's a bunch of solvents with milled black carbon in it to re-pigment the plastic bits. It's similar to the process to they use to dye trims when they manufacturer them and those solvents seem to eat up the oxidation that forms. The stuff is pretty nasty and stains most of the things it touches so gloves and taping off are a must, but it works better than all of those toppers that claim to restore trim by a good margin. I've found it works the best if you clean with a vinyl/plastic cleaner like Meg's #39 then wipe down with a panel prep or 25% IPA solution before you start applying it. If you put a good sealant/topper/coating over it once it's cured up it lasts for a good while.

Replaced the stock speakers today and added a craftsman toolbox. I did not like the included or optional mounting hardware so I ordered some off amazon. Will upload a picture when the new hardware arrives.
