Uff da! That looks a bit heavy for that little trailer. 3500lb or 7000lb axle? I'm picking up a HD 5x10 double axle dump trailer here in a couple weeks and it's only rated for 7K gross which is like 5300lbs cargo. Here's a good weight calculator.

http://www.csgnetwork.com/logweight.html

It’s a 3500 lb. may be less I think. Gvwr of trailer is only somewhere around 2400.

a double axle dump is something that I want... almost need. I’m cheap but I am seeing that I can’t be cheap with anything related to trucks/trailers.

Put the stock muffler back on. Was just too annoying off-roading. I’m old now I guess. And about to start on rtt rack:favorites37:

Ordered new speakers all the way around. While I’ve got the basic radio I haven’t decided if I’ll upgrade the head unit or not.

Hopefully I can get a new tailgate ordered next week to replace the one I dented thanks to a light pole that jumped out behind me.

New speakers will make a big difference. After listening to them for awhile you’ll want to upgrade to a better head unit for even better sound.

I've heard nothing but good things about the Powerstop Z23 kit for our trucks. I find the stock brakes to be lacking. My truck only has 31k miles on it but I'm going to be replacing the brakes on it soon because they make a ton of noise and the initial bite sucks. I haven't had time to do a thorough inspection but I'm guessing the pads or rotors are glazed.

My truck is my daily driver and my commute is 55 miles a day. Its a mix of stop and go surface streets and stop and go freeway traffic so I feel ya on the brakes.

The powerstops are much better!

Well finally did it. Went this weekend and had my Ram dropped to a 3/5 with Belltech 2/4 drop springs cut down to a 3/5, IHC rear axle relocation kit "cut kit", Spohn rear adjustable panhard bar and rear IHC lowered shocks. It rides so nice now, almost like it was back to stock! I have been collecting these lowering parts for the last few years, just had to find the right shop and the extra cash to get it done. I also purchased and had the shop install new Nitto NT420V 285/45/22 tires for me, so much better then the stock Goodyear ones. Still not done, need to add the IHC adjustable upper control arms to the front. I am in the process of buying a set from a forum member in the next few weeks. They should change this a bit once installed.

So what you all think? Should I go lower? ;)

Here are links to all the parts we used for this drop.

Now with the shinny 22's way better than the black wheels.

Another trip. Blew out a trailer tire. My first time doing that. Sucked!!! Thank god for tractor supply. ;)Will go for dual axle on the next wood pickup like this. I wish I knew how much I was actually towing. I’m thinking 5-6k. She struggled on the inclines. Temps were good the whole time.

Search apps for log weight calculator. You specify species, diameter and length. It provides an estimate. I'm an arborist with a Forestry Degree. It's pretty accurate. You will be surprised how much you over loaded that poor little trailer.

Installed a gator bed cover. I’ll have to see how it holds up in the rain, but it definitely looks sleek!

Any update on this cover? I know it’s only been a couple weeks, but interested in ordering one from Amazon before a trip this week.

Pretty busy couple of weeks. Started with cam and lifter replacement due to seized lifter. Also had the manifold stud breaking issue fixed. Then replaced all brakes with Powerstop (rotors pads and calipers). Then switched out the Mufflex 24 with a Borla Touring catback. And finally this morning, replaced my S&B with the Vararam......oh boy, she’s running beautifully.
